The main thing about Soilwork is the melodies, this song is probably one of their most "mainstream" songs, there are so many great ones before this! (I love this so much tho!) But for one, "Stabbing the Drama" is the album I noticed them by, almost 20 years ago.! Check it out! Think they have videos out for all songs even. Great react! Keep them coming!

Soilwork released their first album 25 years ago and I'd say the music was "harder" in the beginning. It gets a bit silly with genres I think, but I guess "melodic death metal" is metal that often has mixed clean and growl vocals, and there are melodic parts by the intruments or vocals. "Death metal" is often only growls and more brutal music. I really like Soilwork (and i actually was a little worried you wouldn't like this at all lol) I used to hate growl, but Soilwork was one of the bands that made med accept, and eventually love it! To me it adds a whole new dimension to a song. "Stålfågel" is a swedish word, meaning "steelbird" - or rather "bird of steel". The singer talks in a swedish dialect and it was kind of fun hearing you trying to pronounce the title after hearing him say it lol... Great reaction! Cheers from Sweden!

Death metal is generally harsher than heavy metal, has more growling and fryscreaming and darker themed lyrics. Depending on whether it is melodic Death metal or just straight up Death metal you may or may not have clean vocals in addition to the harsh ones

Death metal has dozens of subgenres. This one is definitely on the lighter side. What's the point of the title being in Swedish and the lyrics in English? I don't know. Makes it more evil I guess.
