Very nice video. I was looking into getting a darker vanilla perfume for my girlfriend. Came across the black opium and it sounded like it would hit the mark. You’re video was a good description of the perfume line. I just went to Sephora to compare each of the ones you reviewed. Definitely agree that the extreme is a deeper and richer aroma compared to the original, which had a fainter and slightly more floral scent. And the blue bottle was definitely a completely different fragrance. So, I’ll end up ordering the Extreme and will keep you updated on what she thinks. Thanks for the solid review. Andrew

Personally on me, the extreme lasted like less then 2 hours more compared to the og, but the sillage was the same, or the og was better. But the scent trail, i love the original, and it does kinda smell milky on me, like Sophie said a latte. But the trail on the extreme was so much better, it was like the original but more cozy and that chocolate, it kinda gave me Hugo Boss the scent private accord vibes. Not a dupe at all its just a simular type of cacau, but in the black opium its warmer and thicker if that makes sense.

I loveeee the original. I smelled it years ago in a Ulta book but didn't buy it for some reason. I recently received a sample and I'm so upset that I used up my sample. Idc what the TikTok Perfume community says... The OG YSL Black Opium will always be my favorite. Going to purchase a big bottle soon! 💕

i currently have this, i love it im sure there are many other frangrances i would fancy but this is the first one i can find, it indeed is quite strong, it pumps kind of quick and a lot of the perfume comes out so dont spray too hard, the bottle feels very gritty because of the sparkle, overall i really like it

I think this extreme is more dark than the original and has this coffee smell better stronger and less floral. I can detect the patchouli as well at the dray down . It s still sweet but not as much as the original one .

I’m a big fan of black opium and the Extreme is a beautiful scent after dry down. It is stronger but it smells so good my husband likes it

I was considering buying original BO as I really wanted a coffee fragrance. I smelled it in my corridor every time my neighbour would go to work ))) But I can't smell coffee on myself and it didn't last that long. I don't know how this works on other people and lingers so well. Anyway, I've ordered my 30ml as they promise stronger coffee))

I know this is probably unrealistic but if you want to launch your own perfume one day Cristine from Simply Nailogical might be able to give you guidance although you live in different countries and nail polish and perfume are very different products. She has a background in Criminology and started her own brand of nail polish a couple years ago.
