I love your reaction, many are criticizing the album because it does not fit, for example, the classic structure of a song or because the songs are very short, but this album is a piece of art as a whole, it is a journey of sounds!
@ajandrewsmusic5 жыл бұрын
This album is a manifestation song from the dream our ancestors sent to the future, us. A myth. A possibility. Look up Sun Ra "Space is the Place" she was in-part inspired by that manifestation of the same dream And Florida Water is a cologne black/latino/spiritual homes tend to have. For cleansing and protection and stuff.

For those who are wondering about the repetition it pays homage to Chopped and Screwed, a genre of music in Houston, TX that’s slowed down, and chopped up, where the lyrics/beat repeats because of the chops. ALSO the melodies that are created through her vocals is done by a guy named Chassol a French artist who does this theme in ALL of his music I’d check him out! That’s all

Tyler's sprinkled all through this album but Sampha is the vocalist on "Time (is)", my guy. That being said I'm glad to see you releasing videos again, especially for this one. So far, it's the best release this year. Also, really shocked you skipped over the James Blake & Offset records. Both of those were pretty good early year releases as well. Offset comes forth showing surprising solo potential with Father of 4 (This coming from someone who's not big into Migos unless we're talking Culture 1) and James breaks the "sad boi" generalization of his music with Assume Form. Maybe, it's just me being greedy for content but I'd love to know your thoughts on them. Keep up the good work though and take care of yourself, Tabby.
