I would definitely be interested in learning more about the Evertune. Very intriguing piece of hardware.

I've been looking to get the 27" Baritone version of this guitar, (non-Evertune). You answered quite a few of my questions regarding quality, playability, etc. One brand you didn't compare it to was Jackson; any comment on how Solar compares to Jackson? Thanks for your informative video/review! Now that you've had it longer, is it still holding up well. Any issues? Nice riffs btw.

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. Unfortunately, I haven’t had my hands on a new Jackson yet. But, this guitar is still holding up very well. Solar makes a great guitar, and this one is no exception. I nearly bought the baritone one of this one at the same time, sadly someone else was quicker than me.

Great review! Which ESP LTD or Schecter neck will you compare the Solar neck to? Best regards
@jordansguitarchannel38096 ай бұрын
It’s probably closer to an LTD neck, but definitely thicker while still being very comfortable and fast.

BTW How does the Evertune bridge feel when palm muting, like a Hipshot or more like a TOM?
@jordansguitarchannel38096 ай бұрын
It’s closer to a hipshot, but it’s sort of halfway between a TOM and six saddle height wise. It’s very comfortable and I’m a TOM user primarily.

So did the charvel not work out for you in the end? I know you sent it back for some reason or another to get fixed. I got the same one right around the same time as you and I’ve grown to love it. I’ve put it thru hell and haven’t had a single problem with it yet. Still prob prefer some of my ESP’s when it comes to my 6s but that neck on the Charvel is just 👌it’s one of the most un-metal looking guitars there is but that’s what I kinda like that about it 😂
@jordansguitarchannel3809 Жыл бұрын
Sadly something happened with the neck I think, still don’t know. Sent it to a Fender tech and he made it worse, they sent me another that was horrible out of box, so I got a refund and bought an E-II. Sucks because I loved that guitar so much. I want another one but next time I’m buying in store. Glad to hear yours is doing well, I’m kinda jealous. Ha
@The_Devil_U_Know Жыл бұрын
1000% but from out of a store just never guitar center 😂 I’ve been using the same Sam Ash since I was 10 years old and I’m almost 40 now and they take care of me so well. I saw your other video after you got it back from the “tech” I’ve had the same tech for the last 15+ years at the store he does all my guitar work I had him profile mine for 11-52’s as well and you’d never now compared to that abomination lol. And you’re right I saw a video or something somewhere where long said he plays like 64’s which is what I use on my 7 string with a 26.5” neck that’s crazy. But yea man find a store local like Sam ash or something that’ll take care of you I can’t believe that website paid you $50 bucks just so they didn’t have to do your set up that’s such janky shit 😂 I don’t do KZbin videos but I do content for the store for free and they let me take home amps guitars pedals test them out record film write some notes of what I think and in term I get to play all the high gain metal focused shit that comes into the store or If they get a trade in of a high gain amp and want to find out if it’s got anything wrong with it that like you wouldn’t hear just testing it for 2 seconds in a store bc you don’t know how these kinda things operate they’ll have me bring it home and see if I find anything like I just did that with an Archon that they almost got ripped off on bc the kid that took the trade in only tested it with the bright switch on. Turned it off and bam thing was all fucked up. Just brought back a new Bad Cat Lynx head that I tested thru a couple diff cabs at home and I was not impressed but it also had problems. But like the other benefits of working with a store like that’s like If I had a problem with a guitar I bought that not like THAT long ago, something so small as like I don’t like the shade yellow of the pick up cover on my charvel I want a new one they would replace it no questions free of charge let alone the nightmare problems you had! And a store like that would be good for what your tryin to do with your channel so find a local place that’s not like a hole in the wall but not like a place that won’t remember your name and build a dialogue about what you got going on and start bringing your business there. And MAKE SURE they will price match any lower price cause you see a sale on a site online boom take a screen shot go into the store and be like whatchya got for me 😆

Man, color me jealous. I’m glad someone else finally sees what I’ve been through with all that. Unfortunately the closest store is GC and it’s super bad. I live out in the boonies, like if they heard me play metal I’d be chased through town like Frankenstein with fire sticks. Haha. You’re right though I do need a store that will work with me like that. May have to make a road trip or three soon.

Just got a1.6 vinter some days ago, it had an extremely high string height and intonation was not setup, glue marks on the frets, and a truss rod cover is not properly drilled (it lays slightly above the wood at the bottom, pressing on the nut, minor imperfection but fucking hate this lol). Aside from these imperfections, guitar is so good and plays amazing after a proper setup, and I have high end japanese and american guitars to compare to. After I played it for a bit I now want this black one too…
@jordansguitarchannel38093 ай бұрын
I got pretty lucky with this one, snagged it for next to nothing because the seller thought it had a crack in the fretboard. Absolutely no crack at all, and it’s been a great axe.

how's the neck feel on a solar compared to ltd in your opinion?.Both seems to have same fretboard radius with different neck shapes, C, Thin U, Xtra Thin U..
@jordansguitarchannel3809 Жыл бұрын
The neck is a definite C shape, I’d say it’s about as thick as a ESP thin U with a bit more shoulder to it. Hope that helps.

Hey dude, how is the neck fretboard so far? Any crack or signs of bad QC, sorry if I am asking this so direct but I know it's been quite a problem for Solar. Cheers!
@jordansguitarchannel38098 ай бұрын
The fretboard is nearly perfect, the only issue is a small tooling mark near the inlay. Only QC I could find is the fretboard edges are not as rolled off on the treble side, and the tuners I’m going to replace because I personally don’t like them but they work fine.
