the go sun go has a lid on the cooking tray its the white piece on the end. when boiling water you use the lid instead

Now I'm thinking it would be an interesting DIY project to buy just the evacuated tube, then build a DIY parabolic reflector for it. Using long, thin strips of mirror or polished metal, attached to, say a stand cut out from plywood to form a perfect parabola, this could be a quite fast oven and a fun project.

I hear that.

The tray is not meant to be used with Gosun Go model when boiling water, you remove the white cap from the tray and use it to cap the tube of water, It should boil faster without the tray, with less mess.

Glad you got something out of it, in my humble opinion GoSun has the most efficient solar cookers on the planet and their electric hybrid versions are unmatched. I am not affiliated or anything just think from my past experience they are the best option available. Thanks for watching, more coming soon, take care and God bless.

Of note is that the cap on the tray of the GoSun Go comes off and fits on the top of the tube, so you don't have to have the tube in it to heat water. I just ordered what claims to be a GoSun from Bed Bath and Beyond's new site for just under $83. It seems to be the size of the Go.

@@frankbush333 I didn't know until I saw it in a KZbin video. Just thought I would pass along the knowledge. Make it a great day! 🙂

you don´t need the metal tray for the gosun go to heat water. fill the water in and remove the white cap from the tray and use it as a cap.

I am unhoused with 24/7 camping in effect. Do you think I should get the Go Sun Go and a Sun Kettle or the Go Sun Sport with the kettle attachment?
@frankbush3332 жыл бұрын
The sport, it performs the best out of all of them and holds good volume.

What supplier did you get the large tube from? I can’t seem to find them?

Not practical in Canada....only time it works is when it is too hot to cook. o Who wants to eat cooked food when it's 40c ? Plus depending on this tech, you will starve!
@frankbush3338 ай бұрын
I am in Canada they work fine here, the amount of direct sunshine is the primary factor not the ambient temperature. These units are not meant to be a total replacement for other cooking methods they are optimally utilized to offset fuel consumption such as wood or gas in an extended grid down - shtf scenario in my honest opinion. Even if you can only use them say 150 days a year that still saves immense amounts of fuel. That being said I agree absolute dependence on these is unwise but I would rather have them then not if a major conflict erupts in the world which to me is likely at this point. Thanks for taking the time to watch more coming soon cheers.

I have seen those before. Don't like the idea of having to constantly pay for heat packs though.

@@frankbush333 yeah thats a down side but where and when you cant have open flame, this works. Good for night time meals
