Solar Eclipse 2024 in Niagara Falls on a Can-Am Spyder

Today is the big day. Monday, April 8th, 2024, the day the Solar Eclipse “Path of Totality” travels directly over Niagara Falls, and we’re going to experience it together on a Can-Am Spyder.
The eclipse starts (partiality) at just past 2pm, totality starts at 3:20 and lasts for just greater than three minutes, and the eclipse ends at around 4:30. Instead of photographing the eclipse (you’ll see those photos and videos all over the news and YouYube long before you watch this video), we’re going to experience the eclipse together on the Can-Am Spyder.
This channel chronicles my adventures as a minimalist on a 2023 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited, my only conveyance. We’ll go on a great adventures, near and far from my home base in Niagara Falls, NY, as well as jaunts to the grocery store and other mundane errands. We’ll also discuss accessories and gear for the Can-Am Spyder.
I usually wear a Tourmaster Transition 4 jacket, a Scorpion EXO-AT950 helmet, and either Klim Baja gloves or Joe Rocket Windchill gloves. I use a GoPro Hero 10 camera and a Purple Panda mic, and I edit video with iMovie with an iPad Pro.

What an amazing thing to see! It was a grey wet day here in Blighty so did not see anything really. Might have had a better chance on the far south coast or in the Highlands. It was quite impressive around your area New York/Niagara and as you say, there should be plenty of world coverage from the News broadcasters. Thank you for the footage 😎

One of the 2 videos I really wanted to see of the eclipse; the other will be from Smarter Every Day. I was in about 93% and it didn't get any were near dark out. Just enough to tell it was dimmer. Just wished the clouds were not there today for you but still a really cool video.

It was cool but not as dark as it was in Nigeria. I’m In Chicagoland they say it was passing through Bloomington, Il which is about a hundred miles or more south of Chicago. Pretty cool though. I watched it through some viewing glasses at home. Then went for a blast on My F-3S Spyder to a local forest preserve. It only got like twilight. I enjoyed it with a stranger. He was a real nice guy by the name of Stanley. Not nearly as dark as shown in your video. Thanks for the video pal!! Screw the hater earlier inThe comments! People just love to hate! WTF!!! That was really spectacular with the clouds. I hate it for the local spectators where you are. It wasn't as dark where I live in NC. I'm not as politically correct with those oblivious drivers 🙄. I see them on the Blue Ridge Parkway here 😕.

Just a thought, since this is a Spyder channel (based on your own comments) :-) When driving in the dark you should have panned down to show, how the controls and buttons on the tank look at night (or in the dark in this instance). Are the lighting of the controls distracting? Are the controls lite up enough to see what they are used for? That sort of thing.. I do appreciate it was an Eclipse, maybe start another channel for places to go and things to do, but keep this one to the Spyder. Just a thought, I did enjoy the VLOG, non the less :-) Was just expecting some info about the Spyder is all. Title and all, my expectations were still about the Ride not the event.. Sorry.
