Thanks for the information on this topic, I also find it interesting that anyone is actually talking about it. What I do find rather strange is that here in the UK for example South Wales there does seem to be an increasing amount of planes leaving white trails in the sky. Instead of dispersing they spread and are causing a blanket effect. Not only that, the clouds reflecting light has become very extreme, almost to the point of blinding to look at them. My concern is that, what you have been talking about is actually happening. As an observer it just does not feel natural. I do believe that we treasure any sun in the UK and blanketing the land by artificial methods without any public notification or debate, but instead going straight ahead with regular spraying does ultimately suggest it has started and has been going on for several years.

10:40 Think I read some time ago that SRM would address ocean acidification in a way. Co2 and particles from climate induced wildfires are speeding up acidification of the oceans (as well as the ozone layer) so SRM might be a benefit in that regard. 11:20 One would think that realizing things are now so bad that we need to resort to drastic temporary stopgaps like SRM just to stay alive near term would spark renewed urgency on climate action. 22:10 It's estimated we only need to blot out around 1% of sunlight to return to preindustrial temperatures. Which would reduce the efficiency of solar panels by about the same. Though taking into consideration that solar panels are more efficient when they're cold, the loss might be even less than that. 25:50 Aerosols from fossil fuels burning are currently blocking 0.5-1.5C of warming, and we're seeing so much calamity from just the current degree of warming. When we decarbonize, those aerosols will come down, and if we don't find a way to replace that cooling... I just don't see any possible alternative way we can hold off collapse long enough to draw down Co2 to safe levels.
