That’s a pretty nice portable solar generator. I’m working on making one much like yours. BTW You have a beautiful family. Best wishes for you all.

Great system. Well done ! I believe you need to ground the inverter to the hand truck chassis.

Just waiting for her to put that metal wrench across the battery terminals - - they make plastic tools (Bob the builder)

Yep after watching this I believe I'd make a cover for the whole thing where it wouldn't be tempting for the little raskels

What does a busbar do?

allows you to connect multiple things to the battery, inverter, etc.

got to say this your battery is way to small, moat 100 ah batteries wont supply more than 50 amps continuous, which is 600 watts , good system but 2 x 200ah batteries would realy make it worth while. i have a 135ah lfp battery with a 200w inverter and it would run a 1800w saw for a few seconds but slow to start
@oldvideos12 ай бұрын
appreciate it, and agree with your numbers. i actually did have a couple 200AH 12 V batteries but sold them to upgrade to a 48V system. So this one is used for backup/easy to throw in the truck and bring places, etc.

To whoever might be concerned, and it should be everyone. NEVER allow small children and even teens get near that solar system set-up. If that little girl holding what appears to be a Combo wrench, ever comes in contact with the terminals on the battery, the dad will be in shock for the rest of his life. I have to say, that he appears to be a very nice guy, but still, it bothers me to notice extreme danger near children !

Hopefully that is a 150 amp BMS in that battery otherwise it may be overloaded at low voltage.
@texasprepperprojects2 ай бұрын
you do realize that battery is WAY too small for that inverter.

Can the ONE victron power supply charge a group of batteries that are in series or parallel?
@oldvideos1 Жыл бұрын
this one can do in parallel (i had it that way with 2 of these same Chin's 12v batterys for 200AH). could also do in series at 24v, which this Victron is capable of, but I haven't configured it that way.
@MyChannel-vm6dw Жыл бұрын
@oldvideos1 does the victron app "see" two separate batteries and condition them separately, or when you parallel them, it treats it like one big battery?
@oldvideos1 Жыл бұрын
@@MyChannel-vm6dw It treats them as 1. Which i think is good, because it keeps them at the same voltage and topped off together
