Don't you add any skirting/guard around the panels to prevent pigeon nesting underneath?

Not on every job, depends if customer wants, can look unsightly and hinder airflow.

The system cannot protrude more than 0.2 meters beyond the plane of the roof slope. -so can,t be higher than the flat roof without planning permission

New rules, less than 5kW is ok.
