Wd40 worked on mine! Crazy. I actually gave up on it after putting rice in the motion sensor area to dry out any moisture.

Great Video! I am just a beginner DIYer. I am impressed by your troubleshooting technique! I want to learn how to do that. was trying to look closely to see where you were putting the leads for the multi-meter to test the output of LED and how you connected the battery directly to the LED. .really cool! do you have any videos for beginners to learn/ see where those connections are? thank you!!

Nice trick. Unfortunately it didn't work on mine. It's annoying as it was working fine, the batteries were dead after a long winter of no sunlight, so I swapped them for fully charged ones. All I did was swap them and it no longer works. Checked all round with multimeter and there is voltage. I think the sensor has gone.

I think Voltage current Or wattage is the problem of that kind of cheap solar lights. Solar panel can produce the right voltage but not enought Current.

3.7v is the output voltage of the solar going to the battery

Would electronic electrical cleaner work also?. I heard wd 40 works good for failing auto alternator also. Give an extra 6 or 700 miles or so.

Its look like moisture, take your ladies nail polish paint the back of circuit board, avoid sensor and the switch, if you dont have a lady wait until you get one, a lady or nail polish which ever the quicker

Hi, is it possible to avoid light sensor? To make it work even over the day? I thought of making an alarm system by hijacking it's motion detector sensor.

I wont pretend to able to conlusively answer that question. But i would say if you have the technical know how in electronics then perhaps it is.. but from a diyers perpective, i think its way better and simpler to just by a separate motion sensor, plug n play so to speak. Sorry hope that helps.

Can you help? My same device the light don’t get off. If no motion the light will become dim but it will not off. I want to to go off so battery is saved. Motion sensor is working fine. Only light don’t become completely off. Can you help why? I can repair myself if you just teach me what to do or why is this problem?

maybe you have a version that just does not turn off and just goes to dim. nothing wrong with that. thats just how it was designed.

Mine works only when i press the switch , it turns on a few times (3 or 4 times) and it stops working ,after that i have to press switch again to start it again even though it should turn it off when you press the switch second time,its very weird and shit quality,i basically have a sensor light which you have to turn on manualy when ever you want it to work 😂 i have 2 of them
