Good introductory video, very basic, but gives the masses of people out there a good idea what solar is all about. Great work

2:46 - I cant believe these guys haven't ordered a proper scaffold for this film. Those last two panels were installed with a guy hanging off the roof with nothing below him. If my company was going to be featured by Which? then I would have made sure it was absolutely airtight on H&S.
@lucaraaska89382 жыл бұрын
Then you would have given a false image of your company? Present yourself as you do your work and don't lie about it. If you want to make everything look perfect for "film" then you do something wrong when off film.

@@kevinjackson6387 yeah I didn't say it wasn't dodgy. I just commented on the part he said "If my company was going to be featured by which? Then I would have made sure it was absolutely airtight on H&S." Meaning he does not do that when not featured somewhere.
@garywhapples7172 Жыл бұрын
@@lucaraaska8938 yes because in the real world shit goes wrong and sometimes there's things that are not perfect such as the scaffolder hasn't finished the scaffold all the way to the edge and the guys have to lean over 2 or 3 feet when fitting panels or bird mesh. Would you like to write a further paragraph to discuss this further?

why can't u just add a battery so when night time comes it will use the stored electricity instead of the grid?
@themadplotter7 жыл бұрын
well it's 4 years old, battery banks are fairly common now.
@SangoProductions2137 жыл бұрын
Because batteries often can more than double the cost of the system, and introduce a 40-60% inefficiency. If you're on a budget, or looking for making a profit, batteries are a bad idea.

That roof will need new tiles within 10 years it's got the old 1f membrane with is not used any more the ridges look like they have been buttered up on the overs to stop water getting in, bad idea unless you don't mind paying a massive bill for removal/re fit when you roof is leaking unless you have a new roof of course Done buy roofers using correct equipment and defiantly not ones wearing trainers and joggers working for a solar panel company

Panels probably yes but electrical work not. But installing the panels on your roof is like 70% of the work depending on your roof type. You would need to discuss it with your electrician.

You cant anymore, it was discontinued in 2019. FIT paid you for generation, now there is export tariff which only pays 5p for net amount to grid. Better to have battery and save 28p off bills.

@antoniyayotsova5473 Жыл бұрын
That's more like a guide how NOT to install solar panels. Sliding the roof tile so far up can cause damage to the roof membrane. You need to remove the roof tile. If you wander why you get leaks after solar panel installation, that's why. Watch and read the instructions of all manufacturers first before making a video.
