Nice update! Strange that the air pump wouldn't start up on its own. Hope you solve it. Some unfortunate losses...I have lost sparkling gouramis due to jumping. Great lily, and fry...fry EVERYWHERE! Thanks for the update!

You could probably take it apart to see what type of battery is inside, and add a few more in parallel so that it has enough power to last the night (and then begin charging again the next morning.). I was actually looking for a teardown vid to do this because I just learned of this issue. I get mine in the mail tomorrow.
@DeeFromBrooklyn3 жыл бұрын
Im leaning more toward just setting up a solar charger and a 12amp car battery for a more long term solution. Those pumps are pretty cheaply made but operational. Funny thing is I've done well without air pumps
@jeremyhenderson1633 жыл бұрын
I got mine today, seemed pretty decent. I opened it up and it contained 2 18650s ("battery 1", and "battery 2"). I didn't expect very much from them but tested them and they were fairly good cells (equivalent to low end name brand, 2.1ah). I mean the performance is also decent (for how cheap it was) and it being limited to 3v , but mine is now running on 6v (because I wanted to use the solar cell that came with it (which peaks at about 8v mid-day)). I just spliced in x4 6v-4.5ah sla batteries I had laying around so I could save my solar equip/bats for my off-grid setup. Lol I'm down south in (mostly) hicksville (Alabama) so algae in the small 150 gallon pond gets pretty bad, even with a 15 gallon swirl filter.
@DeeFromBrooklyn3 жыл бұрын
@@jeremyhenderson163 you can eliminate some odd the algae by screening the top or placing under the cover of a tree. Thr hotter the water thre more algae will take hold

Loved the update, makes me want to try a solar powered fountain in my little pond.... I’m sorry about the losses. We just don’t know from one day to the next but it’s awesome to see so many fry! 👍🏻👍🏻

It's hard to say what took the two fish out but if any more die you may have to start checking the water parameters. It all looks good.

Dee 👀👍. As 4 the box filters it’s just my opinion. U should add them in all the tubes. Ur last video u said u have more then enough. Plus it’s cheaper to keep her, solar power over electricity. From what am 👀it’s wrk, besides that little hiccup of manually turning it on. Maybe u can 👀into why as u stated. Dude love ur videos keep them coming my friend. It’s ur boy from Queens formally from Bklyn.

Were you able to find a way of keeping the air pump running?

I bought a battery powered one even they refunded my money. That one last three days all you need is one rechargeable battery

Is the pump and solar panel still working? I'm thinking of getting one. And does it work during cloudy days or does it need to be on direct sunlight?

@@OldNoobGaming I'm looking for a more reliable alternative which I will post but for now I've used the battery operated air pumps with rechargeable batteries which run for about 3 days before swapping batteries

@@DeeFromBrooklyn Thanks. I'll wait for your video for that alternative set up. Good thing I didn't buy that type of solar air pump.
