How Much Does A Solar Setup Cost Where You Live? Drop Your Numbers In The Comments Below!

I stop account my solar, probably arround 24K Euros for 20Kwh system and 55Kwh batteries, everthing install and build by me, retail probably will be double. You should assemble at least 1 x 15Kwh battery, look at OffGridGarageAustralia, Andy could help you. Batteries increase the price a lot but you will consume 100% so break even will be faster,

Stop tracking my cost but estimate 24K Euros for 20kWh panels + 2x5kW Hybrid Inverters and 55kWh LiFePo4, installed and batteries assembled by me, retail price arround 50K €. Combine solar and batteries to buy only low rate electricity from 22-8 AM. For winter will add 1 or 2 16kWh batteries. If you are not bind by a contract I recommend that you assemble one battery, you only need a DIY box and 16 cells, have a look at Andy place OffGridGarageAustralia.

I've been mining this way for a while now and It comes out of hibernation at 7am and comes back at 6pm

20kWh panels 55kWh batteries 2 x 5kWh inverters and 6 x 1Kw Microinverters, stop tracking cost but about 24K €, all install and assemble by me, retail cost about 50K.

would be great to have seen the cost of the mining rig factored in and how that total solar and miners set up costs vs what it makes and why - is it a long term play at this point?
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
Hey there, I have done a few videos about hardware cost in the past which you can check out. The miners have already paid themselves off. The peofit per month is at current prices in a bear market. Back in etheteum mining days, this mumber was in the thousands so at this point its all profit, excluding any unforeseen hardware related issues.

Really appreciate the info. Heavily considering moving in this direction.

Glad you enjoyed it! How big is your mining operation currently?

I'm guessing your solar production covers your home electricity costs as well? For me where I live it's 21 cents per kwh so using the electricity to offset my bill is pretty high priority
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
Yeah sure does. That makes sense

Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?

What state are you in? Close enough to come install solar for me?

Only like 13,000 kms so not far at all. Pretty much next door.

I paid 4k for 3.3kw, no battery, searching for a way to mine since my electricity costs 0.21$/kwh, want a battery but dont want to pay 4k+ for it... you got suggestions? :P i've got atm the AL0 which i keep running, and nano avalon 3 only when free energy.
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
My suggestion if you wanted to utilize your solar more is to build yourself a small gpu mining rig with low wattage/efficient cards. 3070's are a great cheap option 2nd hand for nvidia aswell as 6600xt's for amd and use the same technique as I am. Simply turn your rigs on in the morning when the inveter has reached a minimum threshold (say 1000watts) to support your gpu rig and ASIC'S, then turn it off in the afternoon.

@@BearMarketMiner arent asics a better option? like the small ice river boxes 100W? i got special things that activate the miner automaticly on/off when there is free power
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
Yeah currently they are a better option for sure. More profits, less power and super low maintenance!
@stevemeier2852Ай бұрын
Solar amortises quickly, but the mining rigs unfortunately do not. I have 10 kWp of solar, but just buying a good rig would take 2 years to pay off. At that point the rig will probably no longer be competitive. Plus, I get ~8 cents/kWh that I put into the grid, which would go on the cost-side of the equation as well. Just doesn't work here in 🇩🇪
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
Even at 8 cents kwh, your rate of profitability with a crypto mining rig would be double that at current rates, if you sold the Crypto daily. I'd also argue that a 2 year Payback period for an investment is fantastic compared to most other avenues is great, plus you'd still have the hardware you paid for to sell back any time. Some food for thought. Fortunately in my situation I already had the hardware paid off mostly, so the solar was more of a bonus method to increE profitability than a way to pay everything off.

Not sure on current prices but I paid 45k for 12kw of panels and 20kwh of lithium

@@BearMarketMiner I recomend that you look at offgridgarage to assemble and install a battery, probably youtube block it.
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
A battery wouldn't really suit me in my situation. I'm only selling a couple hundred kwhs back to the grid over the month as my rigs max out the daily usage generally. The cost verse payback period of a battery wouldn't really add up for me.
@CantFindInYoutubeАй бұрын
@@BearMarketMiner Understand, I use mine to only purchase from the grid at low rate from 22-8AM, the good part of solar and mining is that we consume 100% so it pays fast.
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
Yep using up 100% of available resources. No wastage is the best part
@AGianosАй бұрын
THis is not a smart idea. you have to be a massive farm to make it worth it with much more solar. You really need to factor in the HW expense of the miner rigs. Also depreciation and wear on all the computer parts. your using 50k in equipment that is wearing down and 8k in solar hardware in order to be making 300$ a month. If that is the case you would break even in 16 years, and thats if your computer cards last that long which is unrealistic because at this utility its likely for your cards to last 3-5 years tops. Not a good investment
@BearMarketMinerАй бұрын
Your numbers are way off. The solar cost 4k after the rebate. ( screenshot was in the video ). And the hardware cost was half of what you mentioned. I have also done a video on this. 300 dollars per month is the current profit (in a bear market). During etheteum mining days, this number was in the thousands. All the hardware has long since paid itself off at this point. Solar is 100% a viable option for small home miners.
