It should be noted, you can exceed the 400 watts, i.e. connect two or even three 400 watt panels together in parallel for hot overcast days as long as the 60 volts max is NOT exceeded. The 400 watt max is the limit the Wave 2 will take in.

Try 400 watts vs the 220 to see if it matters on input wattage

I'm not clear on how this can be considered a success. Neither air conditioning nor heating worked. It's essentially a $1000 fan. Would the results be different if you had the add-on battery installed? I'd be interested if a solar panel could run the AC or heater in that configuration. Thank you.

Turning on just the fan is not impressive. Are those 400w solar panels? I'm disappointed it won't run just off solar. That's the point of this question and test.

Charging with solar is too slow, the wave 2 is a lot of power, my zero breeze with much less power rarely charges with solar. Directly with a power station would be better.

Why don't you test with a battery and solar so we can see the charging from solar while running heating and air conditioning 😊

It’s almost a waste putting a 200 or 400watt panel out there to only be able to run the fan. It would be of better use to direct the power from the panel to the solar generator and run the AC from there. That fan probably only uses 10-20 watts of juice.

My old Prius had something similar to this - its roof was a solar panel that would run the fans during the day while the car was parked, but it couldn’t run the a/c (let alone the heater). But solar technology continues to improve every year, so maybe one day!

Thanks for sharing. It must be connected to the battery to charge and looks like a companion device for the ecoflow energy storage product. At nearly 50 pounds, it makes me wonder about its "portability". In considering using and moving it in my truck, I chose the ZB mark2.

with the external battery fully charge, the AC at max speed and 400W solar plugged in, will pass through charging work, if yes, how long before its dead. i know without passthrough, it will last only 2 hours w/o passthrough with full batter. but im curious if ac can work with passthrough and how long.

Can I over panel my Wave 2. I have two 250w PV panels. I over panel my solar power stations with no problems. Going over voltage is what destroys stuff. So hooking panels in Parallel will keep voltage below 60v.
