Thanks Tim, My October central Scotland 5.1kWp south facing array is now back to level pegging with yours at 248kWh. Best day at 24kW worst day 1.5 kW. November is looking good for them in far north of Scotland .

I've not seen the sun since 31st October so November is looking abysmal so far for us! I'm glad someone is getting some good generation though.

Excellent video. Find the content informative for future planning my next development. Especially the real world performance of the mixergy ihp and A2A heat pump. Challenges the need for a wet system in new builds.

I find it interesting that A2A plus heat pump water cylinders don't get more attention compared to A2W systems. There is definitely a place for both approaches, of course, but there will always be situations where one is a better choice than the other, so both are worth considering, for sure. I've got a few ideas for a video I'd like to do on that subject, in particular why A2A isn't eligible for the BUS grant. I think when combined with a heat pump water cylinder it absolutely should be!

It's interesting seeing your reports - we are only about 50 miles south of you in Somerset and have what I thought is not a particularly well positioned array (we have 18 panels 9 facing north-east and 9 south-west. 7.83 kW total) and our October generation was 358.20 kWh - about 35% more and I don't think the sun was any brighter down here! I'm glad I chose to cover our roof of our 3 bed semi with panels - the cost was pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

You made the right choice, adding as many panels as possible will never be a bad decision. I'm getting ever closer to adding panels to our North facing roof! It's interesting how varied regional weather can be, I suppose. DanEVSolar had a good month, although he's a fair bit further North than us.

We had a pretty good month again. 62.11kW/kWp in Manchester

That's good to hear. DanEVSolar had a good month too, not a million miles from you.

44.7kWh/kWp in the midlands. 12% down on last year (ytd is 9% down). Those extra intelligent hours are proving invaluable.

Yeah, I bet! Maybe one day I'll get to enjoy those too.

October is mid spring here in Adelaide, South Australia. Generated 516 kwh from the north facing 6.3 kw house system. Generated 1.01 mwh from the east/west facing shed system. Combined generation from both systems is 1.53 mwh.

I don't think I've seen the sun since Oct 31st here. Not looking great for November's generation.

Hi Tim, interesting video as always, you mention you compare the generation with a predicted for your location, didn’t can’t the source, could you please advise of the web site, thank you

Yes, of course, I forgot to include the link in the description, I'll add that now. This is the tool I use: re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvg_tools/en/

Is air source heat pumps worthing more than gas boiler same with water heater.
@TimAndKatsGreenWalk44 минут бұрын
I'm not sure what question you're asking. Do you mean is it worth it? Yes, absolutely, it's significantly cheaper to run than a gas boiler when combined with a cheap overnight tariff and battery storage. That's what I show in this video.

You're leaving that protective film on the utility room door frame forever purely just to annoy me aren't you?!?

Pretty much, yeah. Although I don't refilm that bit for every video so you're stuck with it for now even if I did remove it!
