Are you running the batteries at 12v/100ah total? I am building my generator with 16-180ah Calb Life batteries. I did a test with 8 of them in series (24v/180ah) Total wattage is what your looking for. For example in my test my batteries ended up in a real scenario of over 4kw. With all 16 (24v/360ah) I should have a TRUE 8-10kw generator. I like the box you chose! Nice build. Can't wait to get mine up and running when its all completed. Calling that one a 9000 is a bit deceiving though. Thanks for sharing

its a 12v/200ah (2.5kwh) nominal or 2.9kwh charged. sounds cool on yours! the box is a great build thanks. be sure to post it when you're finished. All competitors for Gas and Solar always use the PEAK numbers instead of the continuous numbers so I have no choice but to follow decades of deceiving advertising. I at least tell my people what the real cont. watt range is in all videos and all advertising. Thanks for watching and commenting

By the way, my test results on the 8s Calb life batteries were able to run my refrigerator, sump pump (intermittent) 2-TV's, My furnace for a half hour.. and in total went about 12 hours! The dream for me is to build our "final destination" home with solar, wind AND batteries as a combo setup. It is now absolutely do-able with LIFePo4 and micro turbines added to the solar. Check out the micro turbines people!

this can run for days or hours depending on what is connected. 24v and 48v isn't the most portable and would make this unit 2 and 4 times bigger.

A lot of small window units have a delay. This one does take a bit longer and I didn't want to speed up the video or cut anything out so people could see the REAL numbers not some made up stuff.

Could you build a lithium battery backpack that has a 2 foot cord and contacts like a power tool battery has to slide into a large battery operated weed eater? Imagine longer run time on battery operated lawn tools even blowers, chainsaws. I have a dewalt 40 v weedeater, and I want to get like a full hour or 1.5 of run time on my tool kit.. but the biggest battery is like 7.5 amp hour.. I'd like to get 30 amp hours, and a built in fan for cooling battery... if you build these you could become rich that's the biggest hurdle for battery chainsaws becoming mass adopted by gas hogging lovers.

greg latta that would be a LOT of batteries. A backpack is right. Charging the cells would be a challenge. It would take weeks to charge. I suppose a pack could be built, and a sufficient cable tether to the 7.5AH battery connector... that would be an 11s 3p pack... so, to get 4 times the run time, better cells $$... or more p sets... say, 12p that’s, 132 cells... not exactly cheap.

Right. this is just the most used terminology for the solar generator. Portable power supplies don't charge via solar and wind in general.

@@WesThatTechGuy Thanks for responding . I'm in the planning stage of building a retirement small house ( about 28x28 ) . It will be for My Wife & Myself . We will live in it full time . Whatever I use to power this house with will have to be capable of 24/7 - - 365 uninterrupted , dependable service . This house will have to have enough power for all trappings of any house that's on the grid . ( small a/c , med. fridge , one up right freezer & one small chest freezer , stacked washer & gas dryer , 55" tv , and anything else one might find in a average house . I told You all that , to ask You this , do You have a power system that can power this house for yrs of dependable service ?
