Bommers' own the rooftop, it is all about cost certainty in retirement not going green, saving $green. Give them a fair deal and a solar plus storage system will add to the retirement income in 5 --8 years. compare that to 4% safe return on bonds. Boomers portfolio 50% income investments. 18 years of this same sales pitch- and 5% of homes that could use it have. That's not what I would call consistent, predictable outcomes! Unless the desired outcome was "NO".

Notice, he says that the worst thing they can do is "not go solar." And yet, says NOTHING to explain that so it is undeniable. Define "competition"??? There are solar power modules, inverters, racks, features, batteries, warranties and guaranties plus loan rates and terms, policies, installation to code and high standards . What is the meaning of "competition????"

It makes no sense to talk about this without saying up front that only people "shopping" for "solar panels" have thoughts about their "motivators" or "goals". And they are always misguided. And they don't really understand anyway. So the process they are describing is just a way to let people talk- and exhaust their tiny little understanding of what's really going on with solar power. 95% have no goals or motivations- they are a no. Don't you watch the DTD videos on all these "solar channels." I am the person that took this "3-possible reasons" scenario that the industry had barfed out 17 years ago and re-evaluated it as a training mechanism (it's changed now because of "battery talk") but it was "something about saving money, something about the environment, oh, and ads value to their home." But this wasn't meant to be the actual conversation!!! It isn't the process! This was meant to be a training mechanism to help train solar power professionals to understand that those are the only 3 things ANYONE could EVER say! And they only typically could think of the first one (back then) and sometimes they'd mention the environment, and never would they say adds value. This would be taught to help professionals understand how LITTLE importance these things have - and the fact that the ONLY reason Homeowners would ever say ANY of them was because they had absolutely NO OTHER IDEA about what the heck the purpose is supposed to be! And it is "solar's" fault for putting these pointless thoughts in their head! Because "solar" is clueless about its own product and what's REALLY going on with solar power. He's saying these things like they are his ideas- these are just from my 16- year old outline. I mean, again, if they have met with one, then they are shopping for solar panels. ANd they are confused - thinking about "technology" and "prices" and "competitors" and costs" and a bunch of other stuff- thanks to these "helpful videos" (not). Why haven't they moved forward??? ALways the same answers. 1) they can't or 2) they have no idea what's REALLY going on with Solar Power - and still won't after you are done. The reason why they are talking to you is because they are trying to figure out what the heck is the point? ANd this video does not answer that question at any point.

Do these two people sound professional? Certainly! Well-spoken, business-like, trust-worthy. But boring as all get out and completely missing the point! Basic Steps - 1. Kill The Bill - that is literally the same thing they've been saying in "solar" since 2007!!! And they say it wrong- always have - the whole time!!! He thinks that when someone says they "hate the utility" it is because of the mumbo jumbo from kill-the-bill. There are SO MUCH BETTER ways to make the point they imagine they are making there- really homeowners just yawn and nod through that and express their "hate" for their own reasons- not the ones being shown. Completely wasted opportunity. Because, again, they're using the 17-year-old "software" which is 17 updates behind! They never heard the good stuff. But here they are "educating." 2. "The alternative" - wrong! Completely clueless use of terms - awful explication of what's going on. 3. Equipment Selection??? WHy does this ever change??? "Maybe if you are on the doors and the people don't know much..." then it's ok to sell whatever the "installer" has??? Wow! 4. Installer Selection? Why would you ever choose anything but the best option? How can you be doing this if you don't know any of this? At least this part has survived - you can see it right in my 16-year-old outlines out there. This has a name- "The You Story - The Company Story" - "Why You - Why Company" - you hear how many times he said "you." That was new 16 years ago - before that, it was just "Why company?" All that talk about warranty reserves, etc- just my 101 training from so long ago- and yet he's saying this has something to do with getting them off the "price" issue- but the crazy part is, there is no "price" issue. All these things that they are saying about "companies going out of business" and talking about how to "avoid the price" or "sell quality" - they don't even realize that the reason why these things are even there is their constant droning on and on about "solar."!!! "net costs" - "total costs", etc. No clue. "Vetting installer" "Really? That's a thing? Again, how is that a thing that needs a video here? 5. Make the offer - "Here's what you are going to get." "Price". "Tax Credit," and "if we're financing here's your monthly payment." ___________________________________ OK, so where was the urgency??? (You know, that thing that the "solar" gurus or "weak sales reps" call "pressure.")??? What is the big reason??? The top 10 things that you need to accomplish, NOT accomplished here- or even spoken about or acknowledged that they have any idea those items exist let alone are missing. The last thing that he says about selling the pen- that's the worst part here- the total failure to realize what is really going on. He loves something about this industry- but he doesn't say what they need to know to see what's really going on. Have your sales orgs retain me- and you will see how much better this can be! SO much more obvious and simple. Just comment and let me know how to reach you and I will.
