Sold-A Bittersweet Goodbye to Whitney the 6th Gen Accord

"If I ever get another 6th Gen, it’ll be a 4-Cyl 5MT. " I have one of them, and I 100% recommend one. I definitely put a lot of work into it like you, new timing belt, clutch and some exhaust work, but overall it's a great car and so much fun to drive. Mine currently has 196k miles on it, and it's been quite reliable for the 2 years I had it. However, mine is the base model , so it's very bare bones haha. Also, I have put about 3k into it, and I purchased it for $1600. In my opinion, it's treated me pretty well. I always love when people take care of their older cars, because like you said, these cars still have a lot of life left in them. It's always sad to see ones sent to the junkyard.

Good to hear that yours has been worthwhile. I’d love to find an EX with a 5 Speed-I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I’m sure that my (former) ‘98 V6 has a lot of life left in it-the lady who bought it used to own a 2002 and wanted her son’s first car to be the same model.

Loved that car had two 1999s one a 4 cyli nder and a 6 cylinder. Could not warm up to the new Accords so I now drive 2015 Civic EX. The. Civic is close but don't like the CVT.

I loved mine as well-I now have a 2014 EX-L V6 sedan, so essentially the exact same car, just years newer. I had a 2014 Civic Si for a short bit of time, but couldn’t stay away from the Accord for too long. Thanks for watching!
