Puppy dog personality and a willingness to please. He is 4 years old, stands at 14 hands, has a stocky enough build to take up some leg. Cash enjoys having a job and could go many directions. Cash is most suited for a confident rider. He rides best with soft hands as he moves off your legs and seat.
Cash is such a fun horse to work with! He started being ponied out on trails and doing easy ground work (no lunging) October 2019. Started under saddle W/T and short trail rides April of 2020 with W/T/C and longer trail rides Fall of 2020. Cash rides under english and western tack. He’s a great little trail horse, crossing water, logs and mud. Riding down the road with traffic has never bothered him. Being pastured next to a busy road with emergency vehicles often driving by has definitely helped create that confidence. On a group trail ride he’s usually the man in the back of the pack just enjoying the day, but is confident enough to lead if asked. He doesn’t get bothered by other horses acting up or trotting off without him. He is great to ride out in the pasture or field and is starting to go on short trail rides by himself without any issues. He rides quietly on a loose rein. Cash knows his leads 99% of the time, is starting to do simple changes, and can be cantered on the buckle. Lovely walk, trot and pretty nice little jog.
He has been doing ground poles and raised cavaletti’s. Recently he went to Heather Ridge Farm and with no previous jump experience was willing to jump all the green as grass and a few maiden jumps never looking or hesitating at anything he was asked to jump. He really seemed to enjoy it!
He has good ground manners and is working on ground tying, however he will paw after being tied for awhile.
Cash LOVES baths, is good for vet/farrier, blanketing, fly spray, very easy to catch, steps right into a trailer and good to haul and unload. He is currently barefoot and has never been shod because he has great feet! The low man on the totem pole, he has been pastured with mares and geldings; he loves to play in the pasture with other horses. Never been stalled. Sells with current coggins and up to date on worming and vaccines.
A good home and knowing he will be loved and happy is priority. Cash is a part of the family. He’s one of my personal horses, not a quick flip or consignment horse. Selling him will be hard, but it’s time for him to find his forever home. He will truly try to follow you inside your home, I’ve had to back him off the porch many times!! LoL. Please contact me with any questions and if you’d like to schedule a time to meet this sweet boy!
