This was difficult to watch. I worked as a casino table games manager for 14 years, and I have seen hundreds of people destroy their lives like this. Although players like this are "great for the casino" since they can never leave a winner, I never wanted their business as I just felt too guilty. His behavior goes through the same cycles as those of a crack addict: scheming to build up a stake (buying the iPad), the exhilaration of going to the casino, the certain loss, and the mea culpa moment afterwards with promises of self-improvement. The problem is, if someone handed him a $100 bill during his culpa speech, he would head right back to the casino. If he must play roulette (and I wish he wouldn't) he shoud bet on the even money options (red/black) (even/odd) (high/low). At least he might have a chance. I hope this guy gets some help. The way he is heading, bankruptcy is the least of his problems.

I got into online sports betting around 2010, and I was good at it. Their system wasn't as good as Vegas for obvious reasons... can only take a certain amount of money about your account at a time. I had an opportunity to transfer my job to Vegas. The only reason I rejected it was because I didn't want to risk becoming a gambling addict.

Glad to see someone else covering Jumanne. I’ve been hooked on his stuff for awhile and it’s nice to hear others perspectives. Pawning items purchased on credit for waaay less than they’re worth to continue to gamble (and inevitably lose the money you started with) is crazy work. Not to mention the fact he’s staying at these NICE hotel suites on a near nightly basis… How is he getting so much credit to be able to afford that? One interesting tidbit is that he says he gets “deals” on hotel stays where they only cost about $50 a night. Are casino hotels basically giving him lodging to continue to throw away money there? So many questions

And still recovering. Just buy me seeing this was so valuable It gave me a clear understanding. Of how the gambling addiction. Really affects your mental stability. Because he know he needs help. Luckily I went to counseling for 6 months. And I really thought my problem was bad. No sir I've met a whole lot of people with different types of addictions. In their situation was 10 times worse than mines. I was homeless at the time. But for the last 4 years. I'm living like a king. Because I took baby steps. And understood exactly who what and where was the problem. It was me. Because sometimes falling flat on your face. Won't help you. But absolutely seeing someone else in a worse situation than you. Humbles you a whole lot. Especially to make a change. I hope this young man gets the help that he needs. So did he can really start enjoying life. Peace with you my brother

One of the issues with gambling is it doesn’t require skill in a majority of cases. When you win, you don’t really know how and why, but when you lose you convince yourself you know what it takes to win. There is no real strategy, yet you convince yourself there is. To win is to have the favor of god(s); to lose means you must keep trying & eventually god’s favor will find you again. There is no circumstance that turns the vicious loop off other than no more money or access.
