My best friend had a 74 SJ. It was green, white vinyl roof with a white interior, power everything!

Too bad some important options were not ordered from factory: Power windows and locks, tachometer, AC, light group, tilt steering, pivoting bucket seats, cruise, SJ version, etc. With money, those options could be retrofitted from OEM/NOS parts at GM dealerships. Good thing that cornering lights and authentic Rallye Wheels are present. Indeed, she's quite beautiful. Thumbs up!

I have a 75 grand prix with 400 cc engine and only 90k miles on it but haven't decided to sell it or not. it was my fathers and my sister and i where taught to drive in it. runs great
@edward.jantonelly31833 жыл бұрын
Sell it there's no parts to find for these 70's cars any more. Plus pristine cars without driving them regularly hurts the price tag. Best to either keep it or take the hit on the price. Plus a change of gas would help meaning suck out the old gas first. ..good luck with it.
@joesteel3 жыл бұрын
@@edward.jantonelly3183 has new gas, just had the fuel level changed in the gas tank but now it has trouble staying running. I wonder if the mechanic got sand in the gas lines. I need to find the gasoline filter and change it

@@edward.jantonelly3183 It as my fathers I couldn't do that. I recall making sell is 68 GTO and later regretted it.

Sitting that long has many lasting effects Nothing gets away with a sitting car . Either it was worked on or problems will follow. We're not in Jay Leno's garage lol.

Looks like they repainted it with 1975 "Bimini blue" color. I wonder if it was originally "Gulfmist Aqua".

In 81 the year I graduated My 1st job was Union Food Worker ( Hogs ) making a grand a week I figured Id treat myself to car, walked up to the lot & right up top a 1976 Candy Apple red Grand Prix SJ, quarter white vinyl, white bucket seats, everything power including the factory sunroof, it being a Friday afternoon the dealer throws me the keys & says take it for the weekend I will have paperwork ready Monday. YEA got that right there no way I was giving up my new pussy magnet

Dual exhaust was standard on all Grand Prixs until 1975 after which nothing came with true dual exhaust due to the catalytic converter.

This would be a great find except I have a few issues but I'm no expert. First off the dealer is not proud to say who they are. This was listed in Hemmings but even cars with high mileage and rust would show off the engine. I see paint on the door strikers which are put on after car was painted except for repaint. The trunk carpet has a few faint spots that look like water leakage. I find it strange with a car that has this exceptional low mileage and I suspect a base model shows no pictures of the engine compartment or the undercarriage which should still all original parts.

Definitely 110,719 miles...not 10,719...no way mister...you say no cracks but you go by real fast over the defects, but a couple showed...look at the steering wheel center bars, and lots of worn out leather around, leather seats are discolored lots of wear and dirt around stitching too...and the vinyl roof is also discolored near the back looks like a leak, bet you there's tons of rust underneath...would not buy this, no way.
@PrimoClassics6 жыл бұрын
Its already sold, its a 44-year-old car, it's not perfect cosmetic condition but is 10k documented original miles and passed an independent inspection verification.
