[Sold] - Great Looper For Under $75k!! - (1989) Albin 36 Trawler Yacht For Sale

This (1989) Albin 36 trawler yacht offers fantastic value for money. The owners have recently crossed their wake having successfully completed the Great Loop and have now placed the boat for sale for only $68,500 through Mark Zeigler yacht sales. The boat is currently located in Jacksonville, Florida and from what I can tell, she is ready to tackle the loop again!
The timeless classic design of these trawlers offers great sea keeping abilities, while also offering very spacious accommodation down below, especially for a boat of this size. You have the extra benefit of a lower helm for cruising in unpleasant weather, and a large flybridge for when you want to cruise outdoors.
Down below, you have an ensuite guest cabin forward with a V berth, the lower helm is to starboard with a full galley being to port, a convertible U-shaped saloon follows, before entering the owner’s stateroom aft. The owner’s stateroom boasts a queen size island berth, tons of storage, and the ensuite compartment even offers a hip bath as well as the normal toilet and shower.
As to the engine, she is powered by a Cummings 6BT 5.9 litre diesel engine. This engine produces around 210hp, giving a cruising speed of 8 knots, and has less than 3000 hours on the clock. This is the same engine you will find in large trucks and commercial vehicles making parts, spares, and mechanical assistance easy to find anywhere!!

Thanks Manuel, glad you liked it. There used to be a bunch of trawler yachts in the UK when I was over there. I don't recall Albin 36, but certainly a lot similar to it. They are great for low cost family cruising with the option of hiding out the cold and rain.

Thank you for your Professional walk through very great narrative when you speak. The pull out sink WOW what a excellent idea. The cooking Gallery area right by helm, the exit door by control station, just like you said, easy for one person. Can't say how important that bow thruster is for wind hitting hull on SMOOTH mooring, so glad that they put those power units on these beautiful vessel's. The fly bridge with offset Radar/ GPS. I like that instead of being right in front of you. The VHF Radio being inside storage , great way to remove clutter from your navigation area. Cuts down on blocking your view forward. You ROCK on your walk around/Throughout. Very LOW hours on power plants. The Samson post with winch next door, the power to pull lines A+. Keep up your video, you are on my Favorite lists.just a beautiful hull. You can always tell a ship shape owner by how well maintain they keep there seat cushions. Clean and bright 🌞. The inside blue covers for canvas covers great add one's. Home run on this video my friend.

The old Portsmith yard is closed but I go by on occasion. It was a hreat shop and we had lots of laughs. The last year I was there is when they introduced the 21 footer. Marvelously engineered and quite fast for an Albin. They are not known for their speed. They are all about comfort and reliabiloty.

Very Impressive for the price point, not at all surprised that you have since marked it as sold....and I am guessing that has already been for sometime. Probably absolutely perfect for any party that wants to buy a boat, do the loop, tick it off the bucket list and then sell to a new looper.....if you do your loop in say, a year, you'll likely get most of what you paid for her back. Nice work.

Having done the Great Loop in a Grand Banks 42 Classic, I gotta say this is THE perfect boat for that. It is well sorted and updated with all the things you'd need and not too much else. Thus keeping it simple and easy to use and maintain. If we did not already have a trawler in the PNW, we'd likely buy this boat. I wonder if this used to be PS Sneed's boat from Trawler Forum. I know he sold it and the newer owners have it for sale on the East Coast. I had always heard it was a well sorted Albin with a Cummins.

I believe you could do a lot with your channel .i have seen many of them at the start withe a few subscribers hit the 250 thousand subscribers mark in just a few years ..i can see you are just finding your feet so to speak but i was drawn to your obvious love of boats your interest keen eye and apreciation of detail .you cant fake thatand those are the hallmarks of all the channels i have seen prosper on u tube. So i wish you well. My personal favorite is older traditional sailboats amongst all things marine .the godfather in this field for me is capt q yacht hunter.hes worth a look anyway again all the best for the future with your channel.

I've learned KZbin is by far a marathon and not a sprint. I'm fortunate that my channel is continuing to grow and today it should break through 1 million views 😱. the quintesential northwest tri cabin. i prefer the aft ladder and split bed usually a double and a single in the rear cabin. i also like fiberglass decks however the teak looks good on this one. love the cummins. as simple a boat as a person can have in this size range. nice boat.

This would be a great 1st big boat for someone. You have easy access to the deck from both helm positions, and a bow thruster too for that extra nudge when you need it. I wish I had the extra time and money to jump on this one as well 😉

I just thought about this as someone looking for like a 1 or 2 bedroom house. Or a studio apartment. You could just buy this boat, pay less monthly and be the life of the party when you take people out to party or go fishing for the weekend. Maybe if you live on the east coast, go cruise to the Bahamas or Bimini. Or if you're retired or on disability like me, you just call the carribean your home, become a KZbinr and get Patreon supporters to give you thousands or like the O'Kelly's or Sailing Doodles,Devos, and the Wynns, probably tens of thousands every month to live your life you always wanted until you ''scripmed' and saved' enough, to get a new boat. That always cracks me up with these sailing KZbin channels and the hundreds of supporters off Patreon, plus their sponsorships, and KZbin revenue, 'we worked so hard and cut corners to save'...and by that we mean becoming transient residence of our vessel flag state to avoid paying taxes or have them deducted. Cha-ching !!....sorry, rant over. Beautiful boat. Solid trawler.

@@GarnockReviews I just think it's funny when these bigger channels thank their Patreon sponsors and you know some of those people are donating anywhere between $5-$100 a month or more, plus they have ad sense revenue and usually a sponsorship, merch deals, brand deals and affiliate links and that gets them 10-20k on the way low end. And they get it tax free because of the transient flag status rules. There's a reason MOST of them choose Cayman Islands or Isle of Mann. So like The O'Kelly's make $20,000 per year from KZbin, about $60k from Patreon and $150k from sponsors, brand deals (their coffee and mugs and teas), and affiliate links so $130k per year on the low end and have spending of about $25-30k. They put out a video about the cost, but a lot of it was time costs. $170k per year PROFIT. Gone with the Wynn's KZbin (Super popular) is $77k per year from KZbin, another $480K from Patreon and sponsors, brand deals, merch sales, affiliate links $65k per year. Operating costs of $35k is $622k PROFIT. Sailing Doodles (Even more popular) is $217k from KZbin, $65k from merch sales and sponsors and Patreon he gets $720k per year on Patreon because that is unfiltered content and shows brief nudity, and that's $1.02M per year. But he has to give money to the girls that come aboard, so about 200k for them is what was revealed and then bout 60k operating costs, about $1 MILLLION DOLLARS PROFIT!!! He probably makes more in businesses he owns. So if we got a boat, hired some strippers to pretend to be our wives, got on patreon and let them 'accidentally' have a wardrobe malfunction or they swam nude in the Exumas, plus your accent...raking in the dough. But I am also broke, and have 3 kids, plus can't sail. So......you know obstacles. So these yacht channels talking about 'scrimping and saving', just trying to get enough money together...total BS.

I saw a car video recently where they bought it for something like $500 and tried to do it up and flip.......with around 500k views on it. You know they made their costs back on KZbin alone regardless what it sells for 🤦‍♂️

@@GarnockReviews Yeah the break even on likes with over 150k subscribers is supposedly $1500. If you can get 25k likes, it gets you over $5k. That's just in likes and doesn't factor click rate. I don't know how all of that works, but I've seen other creators talk about it and why they always want the like and subscribe, then the comments. Always amazes me when these channels go on about leaving a comment, but then never interact with the people commenting. Like...that's not how you get comment's. Goonzquad figured out that if they say something wrong, or do something wrong deliberately, people obviously comment to correct them. It's genius. They do it on purpose.

I am going to use that line as an excuse when I say or do something wrong in my videos 😀 KZbin's big goal is to put videos in front of people that keep them watching the same video, and stay on the platform for longer. That way, eventually you will get hit with a commercial of some sort, and KZbin makes some money. Subscriber count is great because when a video goes live, all your subscribers get notified. That way, it gives your video a head start and as long as your subscribers like it and watch it for a decent length, it climbs up the algorithm faster. Comments and threads like this are great as KZbin likes to see interaction not only between you and me, but also if others were to comment on a thread too. I would think ignoring comments would hurt a video not help. By the time I figure this all out, the rules will no doubt change 😂

What is causing speed, horsepower,and what are the fuel tanks made of?

Cruising speed should be around 8 knots, maximum around 10 knots. Horsepower is approximately 210hp. Fuel tank us 350 gallons in a steel tank with the water being 220 gallons in an aluminum tank 😉
