I've followed your adventures for a while now. Inspiring. I have a Tiki 26 in storage, and will be restoring her soon. Hope to do some of the same adventures! Good luck in your next phase of life. Thanks for the videos.

What a bargain Wayan will be for a new owner. Your asking price is well below the cost of materials to build. A very well built and proven boat. Good luck with the sale!

My father bought Wayan in 2003 from his builder in Holland. After sailing the North Sea coast of Belgium, France and England Wayan was brought to Switzerland where he was stored inside and trailered to the mediterranen each year to enjoy several weeks of sailing. Year after Year my father improved the boat and prepared it for a long voyage with big passages. In 2019 it was me who started this long dreamed voyage instead of my father. I sailed Wayan out of the Mediterranean, toke him to the coast of west Africa, crossed to Brazil, sailed the Caribbean and more than 2500nm non-stop back to the Azores and then Europe mainland. In all this time I never had a major issue with the boat which I believe is due to the simple design of James Wharram but also because Wayan was built using only the best quality products. I never had any rot. I usually sailed Wayan with a total of two or three people, but on a day trip we also once counted 8. Cruising speed is around 4-6 knots, in good conditions its possible to reach 10 knots. The boat sails well even with little wind, especially with the genaker. When there is no wind, for entering ports and small anchorages I used a 2.5hp Yamaha engine, which is in great conditions (around 150 working hours). This 4 Stroke engine uses around half a litre of gasoline an hour, pushing the boat at 3 knots. This engine is not suitable to make long engine passages or to motor against strong winds and waves. Originally Wayan was motorised with a 9.8hp 2-stroke Tohatsu engine. This engine wasn’t used for nearly twenty years, but has recently been tested and found working. Wayan is currently stored disassembled on a trailer which is located in Switzerland (Canton of Luzern) and covered with a heavy duty tarp. All parts were carefully washed with fresh water and stored for winter. Both engine run on fresh water and gasoline has been run out of the carburetor. One solar panel is still connected and keeps the battery charged. Wayan is ready to be transported and most importantly ready to sail. There are some minor projects which are mostly for aesthetical reasons like faded paint. I sailed Wayan with a polish flag and had an insurance with Pantaenius. The Flag registration cost me 470 Euros (all included and life long), the Yacht liability insurance cost me 90 Euros a year and the Yacht Hull Time Value Insurance 280 Euros a year. The polish flag is available for people from all nations.

@@urwun5254 Hello Urwun, If Niklaus is not interested in the plans, I would be interested to buy them. I am not sure whether to build a tiki 26 or 30 I would like to get hold of some plans before I decide which to build. I believe the Wharram people are ok with purchasing plans second hand as long as fee is paid to them. At this stage I just want to study the plans of the 26 and 30 in detail before deciding which direction to go. I already bought the study plans for the tiki 26 and 30 from Wharram but they lack enough detail in terms of cabin size and construction so if I can get hold of some plans cheap that would be great . thanks for a short reply.

What do you think about TIKI 30?
@NiklausWildisen3 ай бұрын
@@DaniloGarcia-tq5zc i sailed one in Brasil and I liked it a lot, we were four people and that wouldn’t have been as comfortable as on a T26. But go as small as you can to fit your needs
