Your video, photos, and presentation is excellent. I have been searching online for a couple years and getting information out front like you have really helps. What is wrong with the brokers and for sale by owners? I sold my Leopard cat myself for my asking price. Really never liked that cat much. Even tho your other info is presented clearly, your asking price still eludes me. I don’t want look anymore until I find out the price….thank you.

The compartments are layed out great, plus you have a whole deck to walk around, I have seen people put up a tent in the middle when in port. This video and Luchy Fish video on Wharrams are great. Like the innovation of how the cabins can transform.

I was going to ask, on these I've seen the different pods, is there any reason the pod can't be just a little deeper? and perhaps install windows on the front that open up and out? as long as the pod fits between the crossmembers and has reasonable clearance above the water line, seems like could go down a little deeper. Just my preference I guess.

These cats, as with all cats are very weight sensitive, you can't just start adding more structure as you will make the boat unsafe. Too many people weigh cats down way over what the boat can take. If you want to have all the bells and whistles and more comfort go with a decent blue water mono hull

These cat are not weight sensitive as are most modern cats. All due to the V shaped hulls. Awesome load carriers. It’s described in detail in James design descriptions.

Just my thoughts . Am looking for height under the boom . how low can you go ? The extra weight would be negligible as far as construction goes . Maybe a V shape ? Am looking at everything since I stumbled on a 26 hull , neglected for years , seemingly in good nick :-) If the hull is fine , I have a bargain . And lots of work . DIY at home :-) If the rigging is affordable . Lots of costings to do first . When I say 'bargain ' , I mean that totally :-) The plans alone are around $760 . For that , I get the plans , one hull most of the wood to finish and some glass . And a lot of work :-) Saw one go for $6k in the US last year , a basic 16 Hobie is $10 k over here . While the 26 is small for long trips , while building , can make for further . have seen a variety of pods , none asked your question . I like the idea of being able to stand and avoid the boom ?-) Time for the calculator :-) Not looking for a performance boat . The super yachts cruise at 7-8 knots :-)

@@scottgordon1781 Not sure if you are aware of Niklaus Wildisen's channel " Exploratio-Mundi" where he documents 2 and a half years spent on a Tiki 26, including a west to east Atlantic crossing. His tiki is extensively equiped for bluewater cruising with deck pod, windvane self steering etc.

Actually boat is down in santa caterina, southern brazil....port of call was itajai.....which is an major port in southern brazil, fishing fleet is still all wood down there (I have spent a lot of time down there over the years)....probably built in one of the yards that does repairs on the wood fishing boats

The other reply about the price, which is crazy by most standards....in brazil there is a 100% import tax on boats and very few domestic boat makers.....so every brazilian's pricing is for the brazilian market, which is another galaxy from the rest of the world

I had an exchange student son about ten years ago from São Paulo. My own son was a year younger. We all had a great year at our place in Whitefish, Montana. He became a snowboarder and said it might be more fun than surfing! Marcelo’s English was quite good. We learned no Portuguese because he WANTED to speak English. So I apologize I am like a lot of Americans with just English and a bit of Spanish. I am a woodworker and own a couple wooden boats. I may be a bit old for a Wharram but I might be up for it for a few or four years. I know I prefer prep and paint over polishing polyester gelcoat! And I know painting is finish work. Don’t hire the guy who has killed most of his or her brain cells. I always do my paint and varnish myself.
