Must be the cleanest sea otter 31" I have ever seen. Perfect boat. And going up in value! Good investment for the future.

Is a sea otter a class of canal boat? That looked like the boat of my dreams!

No a brand however the way they build them they could be, this videeo tells you everthing you need to know watch it a couple of times and you will know all there is to know.

Wouldn't the water ballast cause a lot of rocking and rolling when another boat passes? I'd imagine a lot of 'sloshing' about. Otherwise a lovely boat. It amazes me how they manage to fit an entire house within 20 foot or so. In fact a while ago I measured my mum's kitchen/dinette in her house and you could fit the entire interior and bow of this little boat in to that one room! It just amazes me how much space we think we need but actually don't!
@AndreasDuessca5 жыл бұрын
Water only sloshes when given the space. Fill a tank up completely, and it becomes perfectly stable. The light weight of the boat has nothing to do with stability, as it is being kept stable by the ballast it carries.
@terryv5 жыл бұрын
I don’t know, but I assume the ballast tank would be baffled to minimize movement of the boat.

I hope you guys are safe. My question is - are you allowed to operate a model ( radio controlled) boat on the canal? Is there a law against it? Long open stretches and calm water make it an ideal environment.
@rbd65024 жыл бұрын
i watched 100 eps of a guy cruisng, except for one time when he was going down a river and saw a college team rowing a kayak/canoe thing, ive only ever seen manned motorized boats on the canal boat vids. no rowboats/ canoes/ rafts / random idiot on a pool floatie nothin.
@luisekahnt73874 жыл бұрын
I once saw a video by a couple on a narrowboat that showed others operating a model boat near the end of a canal arm. So, I guess as long as one is being considerate of others, it is fine to operate a model boat on a canal.
@luisekahnt73874 жыл бұрын
@@rbd6502 Maybe you should watch videos by other people too. There are narrowboats who carry canoes and rowboats with them to use whenever they like on the canals. There are also videos showing stand-up paddlers crossing the Pontyscyllte.
