@ it’s awesome but I’m thinking of a version where it more apparent that the problem isn’t the threats that are coming, rather the weakness of the nation is the existential issue. The tone I get here is more of a decaying nation being swallowed by an undefined but overwhelming tide. I’m thinking of a version that’s more of a “our problems are solvable but the nation isn’t dealing with it because it’s erased its identity and has no will to protect itself” vibe. The leaders are corrupt, action is hamstrung by bureaucracy, news is edited to disperse organizing, the people are lazy and apathetic. The nation is spiritually dead long before the empty husk of flags, buildings and names are officially discarded.
