I wanted to do a little video over the winter break, and this meme was the perfect excuse to do some walk cycle practice (plus try out animating on an iPad)! They're a little janky in some places but I learned a lot (:

Heyo! So, wall of text... From my experience, art style develops naturally over time and is usually influenced by other styles you like. Keep drawing and observing art you find appealing, and you'll learn what works for you. It's not really something you can rush, plus your style will keep evolving as you're exposed to more things/your tastes change so just have fun with it (: Animation-wise I can't say too much since I'm still learning myself, but Disney's 12 principles of animation are something I'd def recommend looking into! And plot-wise, well I haven't revealed too much related to that but I was inspired by all the other books I've read/shows I've watched! I take into consideration the things I liked from them and what themes I want to explore in my own story. I've been developing the story for several years and it's changed a lot from what I originally planned (Frey was the main character in the first iteration and he had a different name lol). If you're feeling stuck, I find going back to stories that you like can inspire you again and help you come up with new plot ideas.
