Both my parents are vets. My dad actually almost got deployed when 9/11 happened and that was a pretty scary time. They never talk about what they went through and hearing someone tell their story I know they’ve been through shit and this makes me value and appreciate not only my parents but everyone that’s served for literally risking their lives almost every day to keep us safe and the things they go through with the VA not giving a s**t about them is heart breaking.
