Once lived in soldier street.....it was mainly creole hoses....no shop as it it now. It was mainly residential houses. It has changed a lot. Thk Mike for the memories...great job

Thank you. Wow I remember leaving Tower Hill school daily to go and see my dad as a child on soldier street when he worked for his dad, who owned the printing press(Lewis). The road looks smaller now. This makes me remember both my late dad and grandad

Freetown has changed for the better. I participated in the UN mission. 2000-2003 , flew the Mi-26T helicopter . We rented a villa at 26 Main Motor Road

Mike K✨️ Good video coverage👍 First let me say that I don't remember any Printing Press on Soldier St. I say this because I'm somewhat familiar with the areas you covered. The Printing Press I remember was on Fort Street (by the yellow building when you first enter Fort Street from Circular Road). I am an Edwardian & attended St. Edwards Primary School. I lived on Fort St across from the big National Pentecostal Church as a child. But my last address was Circular Road where the Home Foods Store is, next to the Board House at the corner of Earl St & Circular Rd. So I think I'm confident that the Printing Press was on Fort St 😊🇨🇦

Hmmm, from what I remember - you walk from the state house rd, turn left, cross the vertical road and continue straight on - the printing press had a drainage system across the road which I used to use as a short cut to another road. I left Sierra Leone at 14 so this was 26yrs ago.

I think I recognise where the printing press used to be at 11:31 on the left side. I remember a small shop type office at the front and stairs to the left of it which led to the section my uncle prepared the numbers and letters for the printers. To the left of the stairs, go straight up and you will see where the printing machines were. I suspect my uncles may have sold it.

Mike K . There is a building going on in Derick Drive. This time take from Cockrill Straight up to Derick drive around to Spur Road. There is and empty land opposite the building . A lawyer is living near by . I think near Frazer Drive. Thank you
