You realize that this is about the rules and not an individual/or a neigbour/ or an anti-Canada leftist complaining about the flag, right? Did you not even follow the story? It has nothing to do with the Canadian flag per say, it has to do with condo rules and the rules governing other gated communities. They have rules that you aren't allowed to paint your house a certain color, or place your own custom mailbox because it doesn't coincide with the desired look for the community. The rule is about fastening something to the structure not the flag . That rule is there to protect everyone from structure damage . Say I wanted to mount an ac unit . If I drilled into the foundation to mount it and then a crack formed and during a storm water leaked in it could damage another unit. Ya there's one of those Karens everywhere. She probably reports everyone on her street for covid infractions too. Where I live in Northern Ontario my house is on it's own lot. I would not want to live where all the houses are attached like where the Major lives. We were fairly free up north here for a while but now we have all these folks from southern Ontario moving up and expect it to be the same as down there. This has nothing to do with Justin Trudeau. Try again. It is the condo association that is doing this. The issue of being able to display the Canadian flag, without issue, was passed unanimously in Parliament, several years ago. All political parties in Canada supported the motion.

@Mac yes, the building structure including outside is shared amognst all the residents, it is not yours alone. you only get a say through your condo board as to how the whole complex is run. If everyone votes that flags are allowed, they will be allowed. They obviously decided not to allow this. When the person bought this co do they would have been given the condo rules stating this and amd the person knowingly agreed to abide by these rules.
