This is such a great memory to remember, I'm glad this is a true moment people can actually see who they haven't seen in a long time, It's wonderful to see how much they work to keep their family safe and that makes me happy. If your parents are in the army I hope them good luck!

I’ve been away from my family for about 7 months When the soldier asks the little girl “when did you get glasses?” It really hit close to home for me. I had a Sargent tell me the most difficult part about being a soldier was leaving your family - “ I went to Afghanistan when my son was still a baby, and by the time I came back from tour, he was already a boy.

Awww that sounds amazing ..my daughter is one of those, selfless creatures, shes only 14 now, but i have a feeling she might wanna get enlisted when shes older..its just her nature, to sacrifice.
