This is a wonderful video. I just got the game. And I love the humor: “They’re used to delivering mail, not shooting at emplaced machine guns.”

Hey David! Colin Wright pointed out that I did moved 3 ammo counters with the Logistics attribute soldier, but since the soldier himself actually did not move to the place he brought ammo, but instead remained in the same position, does that mean he could only carry 1 ammo counter, according to the general rules of carrying items when not moving? One think that the logstics attribute would work when doing either kind of item move, and my general thought is that perhaphs he moves 4 items when he moves himself to a new area, or 2 items when he remains where he started but just moves items? Thanks and sorry for the long question, this question was hard for me to phrase in an understandable way! :P

@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel I see what you're saying. Because the Logistics guys can carry double when moving, should they also be able to transfer double when they don't move, so are able to move 2 ammo when they themselves don't move instead of the normal 1. Interesting thought / idea.

Thank you. Yeah, this is the most depressing game in the "Valiant Defense" series because we know the outcome of all those defenders. Including the small civilian child. Incredible sad. Still, it's an important story, important to keep telling, not to be lost in history. God bless their souls.

Look forward to watching this (probably over the next few days). Got my copy yesterday and played through most of the morning section earlier today. @@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel At 32mins in, you moved some ammo with the logistics guy. I know they can carry 4 items instead of two but as you didn't move the logistics guy at the same time are you not limited to moving 1 item? That was how I played it as the rules say "Use a defender to move a weapon or ammo token" which suggests only 1 item can be moved in this way. And at 38mins you created the stack by putting the advancing counter under the existing counter. Is this right as the example at the bottom of page 12 says to stack the new counter on top.
@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel3 жыл бұрын
@@colinwright27 32 minutes: You are correct, well done Colin, I had missed this rule. However I wonder if the Logistics would not move 2 instead of 2 items the "normal" way, because of his attribute? Let's hope David chimes in. 38 minutes: It really does not matter how you do it, as long as you get the newest counter to enter the first hex, and the "oldest" counter should be the most furthest away. I like to put them under the counters as that helps me to remember that better.
@davidthompson72333 жыл бұрын
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel, Colin is correct. The Logistics attribute doesn't allow you to move more than one weapon or ammunition token to any other space on the same floor without moving the defender. However, if you wanted you could actually move the defender with Logistics and carry up to four tokens. Hope that makes sense.

Isnt it that it is a OR? To have Leaders on the Board OR to have a breach than you go to the next deck. Only of both situations are a yes then you have to reshuffle. So 1 Leader + a breach than you Need to reshuffle.
@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel3 жыл бұрын
By golly, you're right! I could have had a much easier time. From the rules: If there is one or more assault counters in the post office AND one or more leader assault counters on the board (inside or outside of the post office), shuffle the Attack 1 discards into a deck and continue playing Attack 1 by starting a new turn. Continue playing in this way until the end of a turn (after the Clearing Phase) when there are no assault counters in the post office OR until there are no leader assault counters on the board.

After my first game (finally!) i checked your video again to be sure i get rules right. And there is point in rules on Attack 3 setup which confuse me most: "If a barrier token is not already on barrier location 4, place one there" - what? 😵 You did not explained that and I don't understand what is meant by that.
@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel3 жыл бұрын
There are 4 points of the map marked "1" to "4". These are barrier points. When an assault counter moves adjacent to these barriers, you will shuffle the grenade bundle with the corresponding number in to the assault deck. Once the grenade bundle is drawn, the barrier is destroyed and you will note this by putting a barrier token on the barrier relocation. In the video, I do it the other way around, when the barrier is destroyed, I remove the barrier token instead of putting it there. So basically what this means, is that in attack phase 3, you will destroy the last barrier if it hasn't yet been destroyed.
@jofnercz3 жыл бұрын
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel Oh, I get it. I'm playing it your way and I was confused that the rules say it's the other way around. So the principle is to have the barricade destroyed in phase 3, regardless of whether it was destroyed in phase 2 (which is unlikely). I understand now 😆 Thanks 👍
