Thanks for the great review! Do you have experience from shorter runners using the F80? My wife is 5' 4" and some websites say the console might be a bit far out for shorter runners however do not specify at what height it could pose a real issue while running. Thanks.

I'm 5'4". I can reach the console. However, I often slightly hit the motor hood with my foot when I try to reach it while running.

Do you know by any chances how to calibrate this machine? The procedure in my owner's manual isn't working. I've been looking all over the Internet and haven't found the answer. Could you be my savior?

When you are viewing content that popup control bar is always on screen..Unless I'm missing something and it can be removed?

You can make it smaller, but you cannot get rid of it. You can also move it around the screen to get it out of the way as much as possible.

Why is Sole so stubborn when it comes to preset 6 & 8 mph button selection. If you use the 2-3-4 mph buttons, you are probably walking and can more easily use the 0.1 increments button. Suggestion, add the 6 and 8 mph even if you can’t figure out how to do it without sacrificing some other selection

What does “incline level” mean? Is there an industry standard or does it vary by manufacturer? I’m sure “incline level” is not the same as “incline percentage” In any case in all your reviews it would be very helpful to know what the max incline percentage is in all these treadmills. I recently bought and returned an xterra treadmill. It advertised it had 15 incline levels, but that only was a 5% incline as measured by a leveler. Please include this info in your reviews. I can’t find much of this info on any manufacturer.

Thanks for the feedback! This is something I've recently started including in my written and video reviews. You are right that levels are not the same as incline percent. The F80 has a maximum incline of about 12%.

Hi! Is it normal for the treadmill belt to be so noisy when im walking?

Some noise is normal, but if you are worried, I would reach out to Sole.

The only thing I don't like about the F80 is the switch to turn everything on is located in a weird odd place why not have it on the front console instead of at the very bottom in the middle. I have to climb down to my knees and reach over the motor cover to get to it each time. I wish it was on the arm or console.

That's a great point! I'm not sure why putting the power switch so low is standard on most treadmills.

Does the monitor screen turn off when not in use?

It has a sleep mode, but we recommend turning it off completely.

I like the screen size, but I'm pretty short (5'4") so I'm pretty close to it. If you are a lot taller than me, a larger screen might be a better choice.

Make sure that you have a good internet connection and that your treadmill is updated. Beyond that, I can only recommend contacting Sole directly. We have not had that issue.

@BestTreadmillReviews I just contacted sole. They are sending a new part, and a technician will install it.
