Great video, I was inspired by your strategies to try a Conquest hard-classic run (my first hard-classic run in the series) and used a similar build to this alongside super Ophelia on the left side. Love the content and gained a new appreciation for Conquest’s gameplay and mad design because of it.

I actually pulled off something similar to this is a randomizer. Charlotte was randomized into outlaw Felicia, and I gave her both Lucky Seven and Shurikenbreaker before reclassing her into a Kinshi Knight. She was essentially able to clear out the hallway of death all on her own

This chapter was such a pain going into blind since you probably only had a Niles with shuriken breaker. If you know of ninja hell late game, it’s actually pretty well designed.

I can't wait to reach this chapter. I've been using Soleil as well and she's so good. She'll probably pick up Life and Death somewhere in Ch23 or Ch24 as she'll be my Tacomeat killer most likely (among others haha, having more choices is fun). Another great video. :) There's gonna be a day where there won't be a new Conquest video as you can do only so many videos/ideas of a game with this amount of chapters. I dread that day. :(

I do a very similar setup but with Camilla!Soleil. Camilla gives the same HP but a higher attack growth and cap (30) and instant trample to add to the damage stack w/sol. Generaly recruit after ch20 as she'll auto get sol and if you time a bunch of paralogues for then you can also get trample on camilla and a few other useful skills like vantage on xander.

@@Zoran501 I find it to be the one of the better uses for Camilla, as a mother. Unless you're doing a "train every unit" run, I find that Camilla!Sophie isn't anywhere near as good as Camilla!Soleil and requires a lot less investment on the mother's half than Selena!Soleil who needs Selena to get a FS to get to wyvern and passes down a crap class for a enemy phase sweeper.

Honestly I find the right hand side a lot easier than the left since usually I burn only 1 freeze use on the right instead of two like I do for the left. And the SMs generally have pretty beefy stats. One thing I found really helpful was having a strong 1-2 range unit that can OHKO like say GK!Effie if i'm not running her as a kinshi or a C25 captured Gazak. I find it really fun doing this map without Corrinskips and deploying a full team to be honest and I think people overstate how important shurikenbreaker is for this map. Also funnily enough in my last run I actually switched around deployment and deployed my shurikenbreaker unit on the left and had my vantage sorc on the right.

Bro both sides are just cancer, I keep using my tanks on my right hand side to bait them out and try to kill them with Azura's sings. You can manage fine without enfeeble or sing for right hand side. For left hand side using enfeeble staff just makes everything a lot easier. However, I send some prisoners and let them die instead 😂🤣

Eh left side isn't that bad. As long as you have 2 or 3 freeze uses and a unit that can one shot ninjas on enemy phase (or a bow knight with shurikenbreaker like Niles, Silas, or Soleil), combat ends up being very reliable. For the chest room you can break the wall to the left and kill both automaton in 1 turn. Then you can freeze one or two of the master ninjas and the rest of the room is trivial because the paired up SMs don't move. Saizo's room is also pretty chill. One freeze or one entrap is all you need (sometimes you won't even need to use status staves at all especially with a BK) since you can disable the automaton and have your unit that soaked all the debuffs stand behind another unit both equipped with 1-2 range. The MNs will usually prefer to attack and suicide against the debuffed unit which only leaves the SM and the automaton to kill on the following player phase. This map is honestly really fun and quite doable even in really pessimistic scenarios since capturable bosses like Gazak or even generics like the C22 shurikenbreaker onmyoji are able to put in so much work.

tbh you can literally do this with any unit with Shuriken breaker and salvagable stats. Hell, I did this with Niles paired up with Nyx, and rally man. Still, it is very fun to see Niles just dodge and destroy everything (He was fast enough to ORKO the ninjas)

And here’s another unit I’m definitely using in my next Conquest Lunatic playthrough. It just so happens that Odin will be marrying Corrin, so it makes sense that his two best friends would also sire an empress of destruction. Btw, why the foray into Mechanist? I guess it’s a bulkier and more mobile dagger user to build up her rank in.

Really enjoyed your Conquest videos, my friend recommended them to me just after I started playing a bit of Fates again. I started a Lunatic run earlier this year, however, I hit a pretty hard brick wall in the later chapters, Ch23, 25 & 26 felt impossible without losing several units and I ultimately gave up, turning the difficulty down to hard. I'm sure I played far from optimally but I also felt like my units just weren't up to the task of dealing with a lot of these enemies, the Ninja Hell was probably the main example of that. Basically, what kind of preparation would you (or anyone reading who's generous enough to help) recommend putting in to Conquest before you actually start playing a new file? I don't think I have the game knowledge or skill to do this level of planning but also don't want to end up just trying to force the Royals to juggernaut again.

It has been awhile since I beat Lunatic/Classic on Fates: Birthright. I recall one thing which really makes a difference is getting the Merchant Ability on several of your characters. This allows you to gain a massive amount of Gold to better equip your troops. I forget what my end team looked like.

Interestingly enough, I finally reached this chapter in my playthrough. Too bad my Soleil never picked up Shurikenbreaker. I was so busy getting her outfitted with Life and Death AND Spendthrift lol. I suppose she can still, but I'll have to use a Paralouge for it plus it'll require 2 levels instead of 1...Oh well, my Silas does have both Sol and Shurikenbreaker and I can power him up by having Corrin attack Ryoma to get to low health but he's very Strength screwed (probably because I switched classes waaay too often). I do still have some Energy Drops left so I could do that too. If there's one thing I know for sure though, it's that Soleil is insane. For fun, I had her go through Chapter 24 on her own with C support Corrin backpack. She literally killed EVERYTHING. It was a sight to behold. Naturally I resetted because all of all that exp tho. Also, I am still worried about the accuracy of those Ninja's. 15~ still hits way too often for me. Niles is the only one that literally sees 0 hit on all Ninja's because of Lucky Seven, but Bows is a terrible weapon for fighting 1-2. Guess I'll just reset until only one or less hit my boy. Also, next time I do a playthrough, I need to work specifically on my supports and do less free DLC grinding for money and supports. I kinda feel bad about how I've done it so far. Midori money grinding really is way too OP.

Do you think Kaze can replicate this? After all he is faster than a Selena!Soleil, has a better chance to cap his speed at 38 (for dodge rate), promotion to Mechanist before MS boosts his str to reach his low cap (25 as Master Ninja) and helps him with Bow Rank to make the time as bow knight easier, and he does get 1 point of str and speed though Selena S Support. His skill is also the same as Selena!Soleil so the chance of using Sol is the same as her. Kaze also will have better shuriken rank, giving him +3 attack at A and 4+ attack if he manages to get S rank As for the left side... I used Xander with Shuriken Breaker and Speedtaker, but if that is considered cheating, Shuriken Breaker Swordmaster Xander should work just fine Edit: Kaze can be even more cheeky by getting Life or Death

He would definitely need some help with damage for lack of sisterhood and lower cap, but his bigger problem is his Defense stat. He just can’t tank hits from the masters of arms anywhere near as well. But if you do freeze/entrap one or both of the master ninjas on either side of the hallway, then sure, he can probably work.

I think that really sucks, personally. It means the condition for avoiding the Seal and Poison effects is changed from killing on the counterattack, which is fun and satisfying, to dodging the attack, which is boring.

unfortunately this strategy will not work for me because i am incredibly unlucky and 20% hitrate attacks are an 80% for me. i am speaking through recent past traumatic experiences

The are certain things you can do to push Avoid even higher-apply rally luck (4 avo), fancy footwork (1.5), and inspiring song (6), or switch to a different guard stance partner who provides more speed (~4.5), for example-but yeah, generally this isn’t something you should do in an Ironman. Or rather, you can make it 100% safe, but you have to be more methodical about it.

I have tried this strategy. I do find that even with an 18% hit rate, master ninja will still hit you. I have master ninja Laslow with shuriken breaker do this and on the first turn, 2 hits from master ninja hit through 18% hit rate. With that much debuff on speed, he cannot double again. I still think the most reliable strategy here is using character with outlaw class line and use a bow. Basically Niles. I use Bow Knight Niles with shuriken breaker and lucky seven. Hit rates on those ninja is 0%. Even with 0% hit rate, master ninja will attack you. Shura is also an interesting choice because he has outlaw class line with ninja class line. shuriken breaker and lucky seven can bring hit rate to 0%. I think 7 turn is enough to clear one side of the map.
