Man, the winters in Moldova must be really long and cold, for which I am grateful. Otherwise, we wouldn’t get to see your handiwork. I made your brushless/spinner motor the other day as we do get a few sunny days in Nebraska and I’m now expanding it to some practical uses, I hope. Like my wood stove. Learned more from you about electricity than from anyone else. For which, I am also grateful.

Great experiment. But I would suggest you to use an oscillator with switching device like Transistor for making and breaking the coil contacts instead of that mechanical switch. At higher speed, the switch may wear out. With oscillators, you can get frequency upto 20-25MHz and even more. Or you can use Arduino for time based trigger.

@grain-diose
@grain-diose 5 жыл бұрын
I do not know for sure, but it is very possible that your problem is in the low current of your batteries. What kind of batteries do you use? I use 18650, this can give a current of several amperes. Other possible options for your problem are a lot of friction at the nodes of your design.

"my battery are 9 v zinc carbon ones" - This is a bad option, it gives low currents. Better these are alkaline batteries and even better rechargeable batteries. The 18650 is a great option, I have 4 pieces LG 3000 mAh each, I have been using it for several years already for experiments and for power bank on my trips.

@grain-diose 6 жыл бұрын
In my case it was 4-5 volts. But we need to talk about the power of the power supply, not just voltage. In my case, the current fluctuated about 1 ampere, see the power supply at the end of the video. The power consumption depends on the parameters and dimensions of the coil, the core and the quality of the mechanism. Poor quality of the performance of the mechanism greatly reduces the efficiency due to friction losses, and this requires increasing the power consumption.

Nice work, but I watched quite many videos that have pretty nice operating engines as this one is. Thus I still don't know what dorections are poles of the magnets facing. Forgive me for being dumbass to ask such a thing, I used to do sports :P

It does not matter. I also do not know the poles of magnets. I connected it so that the magnet would be attracted to the coil, but I think that the motor will also work if the magnet repels.

@@grain-diose they should indeed. I think it only matters if coils are connected to the circuit the proper way. I thought about building a boxer with 6 cylinders, or 4 at least and since they are opposed they should all either repel or attract, otherwise it's gonna have arythmia :P think 6 is easier since shaft would not need any work about balancing. 3 pistons each side and see how it works. Thanks for providing me an answer so fast. Best of luck and you just earned a subscribe!

Of course, if the coils are 2 or more, they should be connected in the same way.
