The windshield is adjustable but you were trying to pull it up and it was already in the full upright position 🤦♂️
@BlackRiverRider Жыл бұрын
That’s why I put up on the screen that it was adjustable while riding. When you only have 10 min to test ride a bike it’s hard to cover every detail and know how it all works on the fly.

The bike 'defaults' to "Road- MAP" automatically, every time the engine is shut off. I was wondering if he was gunna be able to get her started!... :O The Tiger provides about 52 HP at 65 mph cruising in 6th gear. [You will never need to hit 10200 rpm] Nor should You. Yes, she handles 'Very Nice'. The modified front rake and the wheel base that Triumph used, is why. No need to change the windscreen. The Slipper clutch is great. She is a middle weight 'cruiser'.... NOT...a 'racer'.... :)

It is a nice bike no doubt. I go into these rides mostly blind so everything is pretty raw. Don’t have the bikes for hours or days like journalists and big KZbinrs get to do unfortunately or I would be more informed about them. I wish they made one with the 765 engine for a little more power. Sure it’s not needed, but nobody needs a motorcycle either. Personal preference really.

@@BlackRiverRider As long as peeps are realistic in what they really want and will be able to handle, with the costs and the head aches.... most try and critique a bike like the one they wish it was....and many go up in 'wanting' more HP and being 'faster.... well then, they need to forget the 660? This bike is more than enough for me. my first was a kawy 440, then a kawy 4 /650, then a suzy 500 twin, now the 22 tiger! plenty of machine to cruise with, without being too heavy, or too complicated. The tiger has a grunt, and goes nicely for its class. I dont like being weavy and racy on the roads anyway. Im a motorcyclist- Not a Biker! :) Cheers!

Bonjour mon ami J'hésite vraiment entre la versys 650 et la tiger ...quelle est ton avis ? Merci j'espère que le traducteur fonctionne tanks for test
@BlackRiverRider Жыл бұрын

Such a beauty!! Looking for my first bike as a beginner, and do you think this Tiger is beginner friendly or too much for a first bike? Thanx :)
@BlackRiverRider11 ай бұрын
I think it would make a great first bike. It’s very easy going in the lower half of the rpm band. Similar to how a 600cc supersport engine is but the chassis is much more forgiving and upright. As long as you use common sense you’ll be fine.

At running in revs (under 5,000 rpm, under 64 mph in top) it's a pussy cat. It's not a "beginner's bike" because there is no such thing, but it is a bike suitable for a new rider.

How's the wind buffeting? Mine is violent around 70mph+
@BlackRiverRider4 ай бұрын
@@captainobvious5349 It's been awhile since I rode it but it wasn't terrible. I think it needed a bigger windshield though. That should help out a lot
@Explorerda Жыл бұрын
When I test rode it, I felt that engine vibrations are much more than the 765 engine. Also, the latency of the throttle response felt a bit weird. Apart from these, it was an overall nice budget motorcycle.
@BlackRiverRider Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s not as smooth as the 765. That engine and platform has to be the smoothest motorcycles I’ve been on to date. I have a video coming in a few days for that bike as well. Compared to my mt07 though the 660 is like butter. It’s all a matter of perspective I guess. Of course the 765 is ideal but it’s also not yet in this upright platform. I think the day they come out with a 765 in a Tiger sport platform I’ll be headed to order one haha.

@@BlackRiverRider Yes I feel the same! Keep up the good work! I ride a Suzuki GSX-S 1000 GT by the way, it's a different kind of beast :)

Thanks! I’m looking forward to trying everything I can for sure.

just my 2 cents...the engine vibrations (around 6k rpm) is night and day during run-in period (first 1000 km) and after the first oil change. i havent ridden the 765 yet though to compare. i guess a tiger with the 765 engine would be nice 😁

Great vid! MT07 or TS660?
@BlackRiverRider11 ай бұрын
Depends on how much you want to spend, but the better bike is the Triumph. Better suspension, better throttle, better brakes, more power, wind protection, better looks (subjective), ride modes, ability to add nice factory accessories, and top notch company to deal with. There is a caveat though, the MT07 sounds better with an exhaust (also subjective) and is better around urban streets based on the engine mainly. It’s a hooligan type of bike, whereas the Triumph is more of a proper road bike.

Did the wind shield cause problems with your field of vision?
@BlackRiverRider Жыл бұрын
I was looking over it pretty good. The camera sits a few inches lower then my eyes, but the shield is also very clear without any optical distortion that sometimes plagues them.

I have bought one. I have always preferred naked bikes and I hate clutter in front of me. However, the screen is visually unintrusive. I did a 3 hour test ride and ordered straight away. I have a good view of the road and a completely unobstructed field of vision.
