Stranded wires are incredible in things like screw terminals, as long as you crimp on ferrules. Don't tin the wire ends, get proper ferrules and a crimp tool, and you'll only have to worry about the connections every few years rather than every few weeks.

Nah just cut all but one strand, no need for any fancy stuff. The extra heat will keep everything warm and toasty . From your friends Chineseium industry

Here in Malaysia ceiling fan, outlet sockets, and other high loads also use stranded wires here, only fluorescent lights use solid wire here
