I don't know why but the soundbites you played made me feel overwhelmingly melancholy... The sounds you created made me nostalgic for better, long-gone days of youth when tomorrow was fraught with possibility and wonder. When the music stopped, I woke up in my aching body, tired, sad, worn out, in a room where the only discernable colors seems to be that of my heartache and pain. Quite a contrasting landscape when compared to the warm, colorful ones you conjure up! All that to say that you create beauty and happiness with everything you touch, you freeze time for 13 minutes of pure, unadulterated wellness at a time. Thank you my friend... I needed it

As always such a fantastic showcase of what a pedal can do and your sounds make this pedal shine. I’m 5 years late to the party having just gotten back into the electric guitar world and have been eyeing the Fairfield Meet Maude but this has now entered the decision making process. Much obliged Stefan for your exquisite demos!!!

I love how the Electroman is so reserved! You can get all these crazy sounds but it sits in your mix so well. You made it sound so good, dude! PS. I like the shirt! I believe that band is from here in Eugene!

I couldn’t have described the pedal better myself. It does that background wash so well. Honored you enjoyed the demo, bud. Yours was excellent as well. And yeah, This Patch Of Sky is a great band. Kit Day, who plays guitar in the band is a total pedal nerd as well 😊

Delay+modulation = perfection. Always loved delays with modulated repeats, Just ordered a Timeline and I'm literally most excited about the FX Loop in it!

Delay should always have a little sway to it. I’m not a fan of ultra clean delays. They should dance across the night sky, not march 😊 Happy you enjoyed it, buddy. Every pedal should have an fx loop. It’s just so much fun.

Thanks. Great videos! I'd love to see a whole video on putting effects in the feedback loop of delay. This one or others. Also have you taken a look at Digitech Nautila? - Pretty impressive IMO. I'd love to hear Nautila in the fx loop of Electroman!
@thepedalzone5 жыл бұрын
Happy you enjoyed the vid, man. That FX Loop is indeed a lot of fun :) No, haven't tried the Nautila.
@xenod10665 жыл бұрын
@@thepedalzone I enjoy all your videos. 😊 - Digitech is making some cool stuff now. Nautila has up to 8 voice chorus, variable waveforms, tone control. - The only thing missing is a time control. - I like using longer times for chorus, 34ms to around 100ms, when I want to preserve the attack of the note more. Also helps eliminate any tinny resonance. But then putting a chorus in the feedback loop of delay can do the same thing. - 8 voices, that's crazy! LOL.

Yo yo Stefan, to stay on topic this pedal is badass, and it certainley helps that you're the one demo'ing it, but more off topic I'm not sure if you really take like video requests or suggestions, but I figured I'd be an a-hole and toss one out lol, I've only been watching your channel for about a month now but it's already become undoubtedly my favorite on KZbin. The way you describe sounds and demonstrate them always makes sense and gives me ideas about how I can make my own sounds, and generally just inspire me to play. Anywho, I also follow you on Instagram, and while it's cool that you post pics of your current pedalboards from time to time, it'd be REALLY damn cool to see a full video showing what's currently on your board, some of the combos you use, and in general your philosophy and thought process behind your signal chain. Either way, again love the channel, love your playing, and keep up the great content!

You gotta get ahold of the Mooer Ocean Machine. I have it already, I just want to see what you'd come up with, jamming through those ambient cosmos as you usually do. TONS of creative ways to use it. Anyway, great review as always; guess I'll need a bigger board now...

What is the "Robotverb" sound? Is really great, but i'm not sure what is happening there
@thepedalzone Жыл бұрын
What you're hearing is ring modulation affecting the repeats on the Electroman. The EQD Avalanche Run can do faux ring mod sounds when using its Reverse delay setting with delay time set to zero
@shoseinen Жыл бұрын
@@thepedalzone Ahh wow thanks, i was thinking it was bitcrusher, but felt weird. I wasnt thinking the ring mod on the reverse delay in this case. Very cool! :D

How does this compare to the Emma Navigator you recently demoed, both generally in how they sit in the mix and the ranges of the respective Color controls? I'm eyeing up both as potential options to complement my Meet Maude and Skreddy Echo. Looking for something than can be both bright and clear, as well as warm and unobtrusive.
@thepedalzone6 жыл бұрын
If you want something that spans from bright and clear to warm and atmospheric, then you definitely need the Navigator. It spans everything from 1 to 1 digital repeats to dark murky ambience. The Electroman stays in the more murky analog realm throughout its entire tonal span.

Happy you liked the progressions. Means a lot to me!
@empathysgone964 жыл бұрын
Hello amigo. So question. How did you know to go with a compressor to give you an ambient wash in the intro? That’s fascinating! I have often struggled trying to figure out how to create those type of textures to decrease the delay’s attack. Do you have a video that explains this? Blessings to you and yours. Thank you 🙏
@thepedalzone4 жыл бұрын
The compressor isn't doing anything in regards to creating an ambient wash. The compressor is just affecting the tone of the guitar. But you can easily place a compressor after a delay in order to make the trails pop out of the mix more and make them decay for a longer time.

12:28 what is fx loop? Is send-return connection are the same?
@thepedalzone4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, and fx loop is a send/return loop that lets you interject pedals into the internal signal path of a pedal. In this case you're interjecting pedals in the feedback path of the pedals, letting you affect just the repeats of the Electroman (and not your dry sound) with whatever pedal you put in the loop.
@egogreen20454 жыл бұрын
ThePedalZone thank you, so it is same with paralel mix concept?

Hey brother so I asked you this earlier today. This is definitely a gorgeous delay. I do use the volante. Was thinking if using volante for the larger delays. This pedal into it? Thoughts? Other way around? You’re the creative one so any help helps. I was looking for a small analog always on delay for rhythm .

Thing is to play one song, and play that some song with each delay, for comparisons. Great songs to test with, in my opinion are U2 songs from 1980 to 1982, from Boy, October, and War.
