A very confusing part about circuits and terminals is what these mean. For instance, a circuit with two terminals to me is a path through the component like in the instance of a contactor or coil. but in SWE this may or may not be the case. Correct me if I'm wrong. A circuit in SWE can be either an associated set of points that could pass data through the components or be an end destination with not pass through. My biggest struggle still is to determen when to create multiple circuits with fewer terminals.

There are pros and cons to each approach, get in contact with your VARs applications engineers and see if you can get some coaching from the experts.

I have watched many of these webinars and with everyone, it is shown how we can associate external documents to them. Is there a best practice location to store documents so other users when viewing have access to them? or are the documents copied into the SWE database so in theory the document origin could have been on MY personal PC or later deleted.

The documents can be copied into the projects, but ultimately the best thing to do is have a discussion with your VAR's technical team as there are a number of different options for how the documents are handled based on your needs.

What version of SWE is this? My company has SWE 2021 and is moving to SWE 2023 very soon.
