Something worth explaining in greater detail is exactly what was going on with my path sketch. Why is it that it rebuilt and the hose going into the valve was not in line with the fitting as I thought I sketched it? In fact, I did not sketch it to be in-line with the fitting at all! That's what I'm getting at. I sketched it to be in-line with the Z-axis of my part. When I started rotating my part the Z-axis of the part rotated with it, and the hose followed accordingly. Some other things that could have caused instability: If I had mated the hose to the fitting on the valve and then moved my valve vertically (along the Y-axis). There would have been conflicting mates for sure!

Is this problem something new in 2013? I've created hundreds of hoses and tubing runs like this in SW2010 and 2011 and have never had to mate the hose to the parts. The sketch stays related to the fitting. We even have cylinders you can drag through their stroke and the hose moves with them. Nice video tips!

With the audio level set to comfortably hear the intro, the content is too quiet to hear. Adjusting it to a level to hear the content blasts you out of your chair when the exit theme plays.

3:37 'if I do a rebuild right now, it updates. It's not quite what I'm after' What are you after then? You moved a component and after a rebuild the assembly follows the sketch again, what's the problem here? And why do you get a circular reference? You explain it but use the word 'it' a lot and it's not clear to me what you're referring to. The last part, where the whole assembly gets messed up, it's hard to tell what's going on here. Your 3D sketch gets messed up, would that not have happened as well without the mates you added? And just making the right component fixed caused the assembly to be overdefined, how can that be?
