I think if you are going to make a video about a worm gear then the worm wheel is also necessary since one relies on the other. A worm gear is useless without a worm wheel. This is only half a video. But the content is well-executed.

One question.. why do you make an plan with helix and endpoint of helix for whorm and dont use planar surface of coordinate system like for threads? Why we make the sketch on different surfaces for worm and thread? thanks

This how-to uses the Sweep function in SOLIDWORKS. Sweep will try to maintain the initial orientation of the 2D sketch to the 3D curve as the sketch sweeps around the curve. Because of that, it’s important that the initial placement of the 2D Sketch is perfectly perpendicular to the 3D curve.

The title is misleading, but other than that it's a great video on how to properly define a worm, profile perpendicular to the spiral. I especially found the use of the "feature scope" tool a nice touch, limiting the size of the worm. Thanks!
