Yes you can 3D print it and cast in metal

Hi, why most of the designer don't model the grooves of the stone? It will be easier to set the stone or i'm missing out something?

it may, but it also weaken the prong for casting.

@@PJChenJewelryDesign that's also what I thought. So maybe just a tiny groove to ease the work of the setter. I'm a hobbyist, for me it's easier to have visual mark
