I’m Japanese. I was born and raised in countyside. But I’m currently living in a part of Australia to learn the languages and culture so this video is incredibly impressive to me. sometimes I really miss Japanese atmosphere😢🌾🍡 This video makes me feel so relaxed

Leah, your video is wonderful as always. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. As always, interesting and touching. And when you cook, it becomes very warm and cozy, as if you are taking the whole happy world with you to a new place. Thank you for your openness and for sharing your experience with us.❤

i really emphasise with how you felt during this time. i'm currenrtly living in the azores working on a project and i've never felt lonelier. i feel so out of my depth and guilty for not appreciating the beauty around me. it's so hard not letting expectations get the better of you!!

you're so sweet! the sweetness radiates through the screen. the fact that you went and traveled alone, even if you never want to do it again, and even if you thought it was all that you ever wanted and it might not have been everything you hoped for, you went and you found out, and you figured yourself out more than you knew before

Hi Leah! I’m just here to say that is not silly to miss home. That’s also part of adulthood. I experienced being apart from my family while living in a city on the other side of my country (Brazil) for 3 years. You’re gonna be ok ❤

Always do things that make you feel comfortable. There's no need to apologise for it - comfort and well-being are top priority in every moment of our lives. People often get stressed out doing things just to please others, the society, friends, etc - it's a mistake. I often ask myself if I am feeling good and comfortable, if not, then I will find the source of it. Sometimes its due to sleep or not eating well and sometimes it's a tightness on certain part of my body. I will just breathe and relax and let go of the tensions. Well-being at every moment of our lives is worth more than anything that money can buy.

The random music might be because it turned 5pm. Many towns play music at 12, 3 and 5pm 😊

Yes I have heard about that!! It felt so bizarre at the time, because I was in the middle of nowhere & in a wooded area, it was as if the trees had speakers in them!! 🥲

Despite the loneliness, did you feel safe in these places alone? 🧡
@leahmegan5 ай бұрын
there were some moments where I felt more conscious of my surroundings, especially in the city areas (i.e men would frequently ask me out and then linger around even after I said no), but I didn't ever feel threatened or worried about it, it was more so just inconvenient. lots of stares, obviously that's expected (especially in rural areas), but a lot of the time people are just curious as to why you're there. also, the countries I travelled to are all considered safe for women travelling alone, so that was a big factor too 🖤
