Loved your comment that this should be normal but isn't, especially in kpop. A high profile artist like Solar doing a song (which she wrote and composed) and MV like this helps to normalize all the many colors of sexuality and identity. I think Mamamoo has always tried to make inclusiveness, diversity and representation normal. A good example is Moonbyul's MV for Shutdown, which is a steamy lesbian song but in the video the couple is portrayed as regular, everyday people, just as normal as apple pie in America, kimchi in Korea or excellent beer in Germany. In MVs by other artists lesbian sexuality is often presented as kinky or in a titillating manner. I first noticed Mamamoo's normalization agenda in one of their 2015 appearances on the Immortal Songs 2 tv show when they covered the old Tom Jones hit Delilah, which was originally about a guy who stabs his cheating girlfriend, and turned it into a lesbian crime of passion without batting an eye or a trace of irony. They made it seem so normal that my guess is most people don't even notice the sexuality of the characters in the song. And those are just a couple of examples out of many in their group and solo careers.
