Such a wonderful video, Erik. So many KZbinrs feel they have to use loud music & endless talking on their videos but I find the sound of nature so much better. Keep it up. You're really inspiring me to try so much more than I ever thought I could.

Bonjour Erik. About this "pile of stones" at (11:30), the ancients deposited such piles of stones in my mountains of the Pyrenees (France) to indicate the passes in foggy or in stormy weather. They called them "Montjoie", joy in the mountains. Thank you for all the beauties you offer us.

Erik, as you are my number one filmmaker on you tube!!........ im hoping you can take a couple of constructive comments..........when you give the "thumbs up" it takes one out of the film and is slightly self-conscious.......the other comment is I would never do a fast motion sequence that definitely takes one out of the film and serves no purpose. That said you are a true artist.....thank you!

Hello Erik Once again you have managed to meet the soul of nature in an amazing way ! I have been in the mountains for about 50 years and you are really able to convey the basic existential needs that we have as the trail, the food and the rest. What you do in an exemplary manner is that you convey sustainable knowledge and good environmental awareness. Feel free to do these videos in your way, even in the future Greetings Janne Dicander

Hi Erik, it’s one of those moments when I’m lost for words! The best I can do is just say “Thank You” Thank you for taking the time and trouble to bring us such a fantastic video, apart from the video itself the sound was brilliant right down to the distance call of the cuckoo. Of course the coffee shots were as usual out of this world! Just a quick question, in the last camp in the woods there was a bird calling with a booming sound, what was it please? Once again thank you so much. Kind regards from deepest Dorset, Clive.

Awesome Erik! Hiking solo seems to be the best way to do it. Heading where you like to. Excellent sounds and footage. What camera gear are you bringing for those close views of birds/animals I guess are quite far away. I'm also curious about what tour you made here. Where are you at 7.15. That would explain it to me, i hope. What direction from Ammarnäs? Is it the slopes of the Ammarfjället? I'm at the moment studying the map for a hike there in about a month, but have not decided exactly where to go.

After trying to search KZbin for decent hiking videos and only finding tedious footage of college students talking to selfie sticks, I finally found this channel which has a fantastic filming style. Your very limited but charismatic viewer interaction is perfect for this type of video and adds flavor without being overbearing. The variety of footage you shoot is refreshing as well as the activities you record. Kudos to you for bathing in a shallow pond on KZbin with nothing but pride.

What an incredible adventure! Thank you, Erik, for sharing it with us. That tipi-shaped shelter was great but the Nummatj is one of the best investments for anyone seeking a four season tent. Your country is very beautiful and I wish I had gone there when I was stationed in the UK (twice) and in Germany. Most Americans when thinking of traveling to Europe go to Paris, London, Munchen, etc. I would dearly love to go back to all of the backpacking areas like the Alps, Scottish Highlands, and more; just wish now I could visit Sweden and Norway, especially to participate in the annual Fjallraven event...What is it, 65 miles?
