Wonderful video! That was certainly a beautiful area you were in. The views over the rain forest were incredible. That was one happy dog greeting you! I know Digger is glad to have you home!

Cheers, Chris! That sure was a beautiful area and a great campsite. It's amazing to think that Antarctica used to look like that! Digger must have been in the middle of a dream, it took him a little while to realise I was there and I was real...it had been almost 3 weeks, longest I'd been away from him.

Hi TJ, That was a beautiful place to camp...shame it's so far away from my home. I'm about to research another road trip down the south coast, so hopefully I'll find some more stunning locations. Fyi, Digger has been getting lots of loving since I got home..which is normal anyway Lol he's so spoilt but thats ok 😀 I wont be able to put a video up this week as I'm busy preparing for the next trip but Digger will be in the following weekend's video.

Two weeks of memories right there mate, and Digger clearly didn't miss you! Can't beat the unconditional love of a dog! I'm taking Knucklehead off with me again next week, we get to see how much damage last month's bush fire did to the area and I'm pretty sure he will enjoy splashing around in the river again. See you on the next one mate.

Yeah, mate, that was a great road trip. I'll have to do another soon...with Digger this time. How you going with camping with Knucklehead? The right spot makes all the difference. I could have taken Digger with me but it would have been difficult in those paid sites...in bush camps he's off the lead and we can go for walks off the lead too, which he obviously prefers. I hope your fav spot wasn't damaged too much by the fire.

@@4X4CA yeah going good Frank. The fact that he's pretty good with his recall helps although he does get a bit distracted if the brother in law is there with his dog! The area is great for letting him run free as well which is awesome, I guess I will just have to wait until Tuesday to see what if any damage has been done to the camping area. I did go mad and put a video of his first trip up on my channel and I'll have to try to be organized enough to video this trip along with the drive in.

@@stevepratley Good to hear! I'll check out your vid of Knucklehead...and your camper! still going strong I assume? I've not had any heavy rain or strong winds in mine yet but when I do, I'm sure I'll wish I had built one like yours. The next trade up will defo be a hard walled camper of some sort. enjoy your camp next week 👍

nice one Frank, the camper seems to be working a treat with what you also have sowed away in the hilux, you have definitely scored it with the weather gods mate. the way you landed at the front door I'm not sure who was the happiest to be home 👍🤗 - Cheers

Cheers, Steve! Rain was getting in the camper when it was folded up, so I dug out the old sealant and replaced it today..hopefully that fixes it. other than that its going great. Yeah, I was v excited to see Digger, that was the longest we'd been apart. I'll miss next weekend's upload as I'm getting ready for another road trip...probably set off in a few days 👍

Man, how beautiful was that sunrise on the ocean. I reckon those scrub turkeys get fat going through the campsites eating scraps 🙂. Great video!
@4X4CA11 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, that's my favourite shot too! Those turkeys were very tame...definitively living off campers scraps.

Hey Frank. Another great camp! I like the way your awnings set up and your new pillows really add some spice to the mix. 👍 Curious about your choice of reading material. Do you have a medical background? I only ask because I’ve been retired for almost 10 years and still find myself reading my medical books and journal publications. Glad you made it home to your boy. He sure was happy to see you. See you next week!!
@4X4CA11 ай бұрын
Hey! those awnings are great, especially in paid camp sites where I'll have other campers nearby. The awnings hang low enough for privacy without allowing the rain in but still let some light and a breeze through...I wish I had them on the kitchen side too but the design of these campers is to have the factory large awning attached but they take so long to set up and don't hold up to the wind very well. I'll just use my gazebo when needed (much stronger and quicker) I've no medical background other than basic military training. I was actually reading a philosophy book about the morals and ethic's of the medical use of stem cells. I find these subjects fascinating and a great way to understand how I and others think...I'm especially interested in how our biases effect subjects like these. Digger will be staring in the next episode!

Cheers, Darin It's called 'NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort' (30mins north of Coffs Harbour) I think the unpowered camping area was the best spot. The cabins and the powered sites were all next to each other...like a car park but the unpowered section was like bush camping...no designated spots, just set up were you like. Plus, its closer to the beach! good, clean facilities and lots of activities for the kids. I usually stay away from paid sites but this one was very nice.
