I'd always wanted to visit Mont Saint-Michel in France and had heard the area was great for cycling. I decided to try and knock off two goals at once by going on my first solo bike ride and cycling to Mont Saint-Michel. I started in a small village called Dol-de-Bretagne and ended up biking about 31 miles in total. Overall, it was a bit more challenging, physically, than I was expecting, but I'm so glad I did it! This experience will definitely spark more biking adventures from me in the future.
As promised in the video, here is some additional info about biking to Mont Saint-Michel that might be helpful for planning your own trip:
- The hostel I stayed at in Dol-de-Bretagne: Edd Hostel
- The company I rented the bike from: Romé Cycles
- The app I used to track my route and share my exact location: ROAD ID
- The start of the trail (first green sign I found): maps.app.goo.gl/gwfJQVutkTZJA...
