I love how his studio is set up right next the mantle piece that is seen on the cover of Here Come The Warm Jets 20 years earlier

This is a side of Eno you don't often see in documentaries. I remember the first time I saw him talking and to be honest I thought he was quite full of himself and pretentious. I soon realised he's just madly intelligent but also has a lovely sense of humour.

This is even more interesting if you read Brian Eno's Diary: A Year with Swollen Appendices written during the same period.

It sounds like someone's remix of Fractal Zoom (from the album Nerve Net). That song was released as a single with several remixes so it's hard to say whose remix it is. But the vocal is definitely from Fractal Zoom.

Amazing! Thank you for posting this documentary film, University of Ambience. Highly inspirational, intriguing, humorous and wondrous. Eno rocks! The comments posted for this video are awesome too. This film makes you want to get to the studio and create more. Peace.

Folks, at minute 24:40 when he begins talking about experiments that cause experiences, what do you gather he means exactly by these "experiments"?
@kai3262 жыл бұрын
He’s basically saying he wants work, any kind of toil or job, to make something that others can get something out of. Not necessarily a benefit or a physical good, but rather an experience that they can translate their own way into an experiment of their own. It’s a lot like how his music, or any music, inspires others. Hope that sort of cleared things up
@kai3262 жыл бұрын
He furthers his point by saying that artists shouldn’t make art to directly inspire people, or to shout a message at others and hope they’ll hear it, but rather that their music is a catalyst for inspiration, and that it shouldn’t be the sole purpose of an artist to tell people what to do
