I see a movement of people turning toward a more simplistic natural way of life. We are realizing that once one's needs are meant, the rest is just excess that acts as an anchor and weighs us down. I just finished college and I'll be making good money in a tech career. I told myself I'd by a house but now I am reconsidering.

Van life is so interesting however it could be a very lonely life. It takes a special kind of person to do this alone.
@mila.inthewoods5 жыл бұрын
I don't think it necessarily is lonely. You can have friends tag along with you for periods of time, or you could visit friends on a weekly basis if you wanted or if you have friends around the county you're in. And of course you can meet many people and become friends with them along the way. I think its lonely if you make it lonely. It doesn't have to be that way if you choose so.

The truth is that no one is safe without having good instincts. If a location seems right, it most likely will be safe. But if a location seems wrong & a person ignores that first "gut" feeling...they will become the prey for predators looking for unconnected people. Always listen to your first instinct in order to survive!

Yes! I finally realised my life’s dream last year and adopted a dog. He’s a big fella and I had really severe agoraphobia and had barely left the house for 3 years. Finally I feel safe and I go out almost every single day, big walks and hikes in the wilderness. He lets me know when there are people around and he deters any dodgy behaviour. It’s wonderful.

Lovely, nice too se what you have done. I bought a van last year, uninsulated but decorated it and went down to Spain. me and my dog but it was too cold. Now I'm home again in Sweden and plan the next trip in 2 years with a better car. Fun to see that youngsters get away from the gray everyday life. I'm 56 years old and have done many crazy things in my life. but driving around with my dog in europe is my highest wish now. I will follow you. Have a nice life.

Another video coming in from the beautiful country of Spain. I hope you enjoyed this week's episode. Sorry it was late. It took me 3 days to upload it. We are working on figuring out our connectivity issues and should be able to be more consistent in the future. Keep an eye out and turn on those notifications so that you don't miss an episode and if you haven't seen it yet check out the travel series on this channel! Look under playlist. What in this build stood out to you? I like the slide out kitchen seems like a lot of counter space.

What a lovely van! I do like your dream catchers. I make things as well, creativity is most needed in my life. I am not living in a van and my medical needs may not allow me to be a permanent resident in a van but I can most certainly do mini trips! I have an Astro that I am wanting to make semi-camperized. I have dogs, smaller dogs and they travel well. I am trying to find plans I like but I am leaning towards bed in the back and counter with sink and fridge beneath it along the side behind the driver's seat. That is all I have going on so far. It's all in my head yet. :) Thanks for sharing your great adventures with us. Glad I found you now.

Every object behind the front seats becomes lethal in a car crash. I'm amazed how little is done toward safety in diy builds and also for serial camper vehicles. It's like travelers don't pay attention, so the developers don't need to improve safety. I wouldn't go without an original steel cabin separation wall, but that's just me... Wish you many safe kilometers.

Europe is different, 'so take yourself time 'to adopt and not adopt', and have a break before you may have or face an overdose of europe which could spoil you're being here in europe.' And one of the main reasons why Europe may be different is because all the people here have their social security and a health insurance. So this may make europeans sometimes seem to be 'slower and less avtive' - at least compared to some Anglo-Saxon people? Anyway.

I love all of these amazing ladies with their gumption and spirit of adventure, but I sincerely pray to The Lord Jesus for their safety just because there are soooo many truly bad people out there, mainly dudes. I hope these ladies use their brains and see the logic of at least getting themselves a good .38 revolver along with sufficient training to use it. (In addition, a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun is also VERY GOOD if it's stashed away and within quick and easy access, of course.) Sweet rig, btw!:-)

very useful information. As far as the safety issue goes (aside from using your instincts) remember most violence against women is done by people they know, in their homes.
@samaraisnt4 жыл бұрын
That's not necessarily true of people without homes, that is for people with stable lives. Ask homeless women who they have been attacked by, the majority of them will not say "my friends" it will be some opportunistic attacker who saw a person with all their possessions and no home. That is mainly why it's more dangerous, but I don't buy the "all women should be afraid" bullshit that stops women from doing anything alone. It's mostly men giving advice, too.
