In 1995 I went mountaineering in Kashimir (G1) and at the end stayed a week in a small village where our cook lived on the Karakorum Highway near the Chinese border. There I briefly met a girl from Japan who had walked from Shanghai all the way across China. I didn't have time to fall in love, because she was off down the road as soon as she had filled her water bottle up. I don't think it is just me; but I feel overjoyed whenever I meet a female traveler in a harsh environment. I hope your travels bring much happiness where ever you go.

GT Road was built by Sher Shah Suri. The trip was quite adventurous! The places are beautiful. The pics came out scenic and realistic. The motorcycle you chose seems not fit for this trip. But that also added up to the adventure!

Wow…watching this felt like having an experience better than a movie. I was so terrified by the incidents of your headlights going out on a highway, and then riding at night on a treacherous mountain road with roaring winds and blinding oncoming headlights. Sheeeesh. Also loved how you overcame a very understandable fear and did some of your learning on precarious mountain road…that would not be my choice for transitioning out of beginnerhood, no way! But it worked for you, and I loved experiencing this adventure in your video.

G.T. Road is not built by the British. It was first built by Chandragupta Maurya then Sher Shah Suri and Mughals built it again. And lastly British did some work on it.

I think U.S citizens can get a 5 year visa to Pakistan. You have alot of guts to solo travel in a country like Pakistan. Most women would never consider doing what you are doing.
@jubnaa3 жыл бұрын
@Mohsen Khan most? Lol what a joke. I'm from Pakistan and I've rarely seen women driving bikes. Families dont even let girls go out without their brother or male relative.
@jubnaa3 жыл бұрын
@Mohsen Khan karachi is not entire Pakistan. Go to interior sindh ,balochistan, punjab,kpk. No girl will be driving a bike. You are a burger living in a bubble.
@jubnaa3 жыл бұрын
@Mohsen Khan you also read again. You wrote MOST women drive bikes in cities. Kahan se most? Secondly I wrote most Pakistani women wont do what you're doing ,which is biking long distances in pakistan.

@Mohsen Khan because Pakistan is a overly religious, conservative, male dominated society.

Sister, you should check Rosie Gabriel's videos. (Thoug I am not agree that more women ride bike. There are very low in numbers in big cities. And I'm from Lahore) My point was to prove the idea of SOLO WOMEN roaming in Pakistan.

15:27 That is 100% creepy and he knows it. He would never try that with a local girl, or he would get smacked. It's ok to say "no" in such situations, as I'm sure you already know because of the time you've spent here, but am just underscoring that he's not confused about his boundaries; he is knowingly overstepping them.

18:45 So frustrating!!!! They should've sent one guy to escort you all the way. This is not required protocol, but it is basic common sense! How did they think it was dangerous for you to be riding through Dassu in the daylight but safe to be riding in the dark on the KKH?! I hate the way sarkari logic works.

You are bit foolish dolo traveler, its highest and dangerous road and you bought sick 125? You should buy a new Honda or buy a old Hunda model but in mint condition. That is the reason you break down many times. Best wishes
